Chronicles of Magic.
Magic is a science well known to indigenous people all over the world.
These chronicles will increase the readers knowledge of the art of Magic.

Magic cannot be fully understood by theory only.

The apprentice has to do certain exercises to fully comprehend, and she/he must learn to reach inside to access the library situated in our DNA, since the subject has a lot to do with body-knowing. So every chronicle contains a practical exercise as well as theory. To do the exercises are fundamentally important.

At the end of every Chronicle there is a link to Herstoria, short stories relating to Rosies/Jolandas own life.

Magical Shields
When one enters the worlds of magic it’s at some point important to be able to protect oneself on all levels, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Oftentimes one is bounced around from one direction to another like a rubber ball in the hands of powers that seek to control one. In the world of the white man those powers can be political or religious or all other kinds of organizations, but they are all different forms of black magic, that is, seeking control over others by the use of fear, insecurity, or other forms of devious manipulations. A magical shield can be a powerful tool for protection.

The following teaching is extracted from the book The Flight of the Seventh Moon by Lynn Andrews. Agnes Whistling Elk, a Canadian Shaman Woman is talking:

Shields are medicine for protection,
but they are also mirrors. There are shields for almost everything. There are shields so powerful they give victory in any conflict. There are shields for courage. There are shields to protect you against attack from any enemy on any level, spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically. There are shields of truth that makes it impossible for anyone to lie in its presence. Some shields are half male, half female, they are balanced. Other shields are entirely male, or entirely female. Shields can be used to tell the story to the world of who you are. They portray the inner holiness, and can be placed outside your home so people can see who you are. The craftsmanship of making shields is a serious and sacred occupation.
The best shield to start with would be a shield in balance, a shield that brings knowledge and that mirrors the special things one needs to know and work with.

Spirit clans were established in the old times. It’s not just now in modern times that humans have been standing on the brink of a worldwide holocaust. The way of modern man leads straight towards global catastrophe… But a very, very, long time ago there existed a powerful weapon that was like the sun – a weapon that would make modern nuclear weapons look like Chinese fireworks. Back then it was a war on Mother Earth, a terrible war of the kind we now living wouldn’t be able to grasp even in our wildest fantasy.
(Big Bang?) The surviving humans agreed that such a devastating war would never again be repeated on earth. With this in mind, they established spirit clans to preserve all knowledge of what had passed, to be able to prevent anything like it ever to happen again.
The spirit clans exist to this very day all around the globe; some spirit clans are visible and others are invisible. All of us earthlings belong to one of these clans...

A shield is like a painting.
The patterns on ones shield will hatch ones vision. Let’s imagine visions as floating eggs inside the Dreaming. The floating egg has to be transported to the nest, and the shield is the nest. When one has released ones fear one will remember that the ancient way of strength is female, the way of the womb. It is receptive. One day one will be able to hold up one’s shield with pride and with courage to trust in one self. That’ll be a great medicine time!

One beautiful day all medicine shields will disappear. They will link together to create one big medicine shield covering all of Mother Earth. It will assist in the great work to establish peace in the world. Know that everyone carry their own unique medicine. Honor every human and greet and revere the medicine shield she/he carries within.

Practice: Make a shield of your own.

This exercise is in tune with the law of minimal resistance for maximum result, mini – max.
It is extracted from Jamie Sam’s book Medicine Animals:
Armadillo wears its armor on its back. Its boundaries of safety are a part of its total being. Armadillo can roll into a ball and never be penetrated by enemies. What a gift it is to set your boundaries so that harmful words or intentions just roll off.
Make a circle on a piece of paper and see it as a medicine shield. In the body of the shield, draw symbols for the four elements, and for male and female energy, so the shield becomes balanced. Make drawings of your power animals and/or plants/minerals. Write all that you desire to have, do, or experience. Include all things that give you joy. It’s great to draw a rainbow around the shield. Outside of the shield you may put such energies you don’t want in your circle like envy, evil gossip, stress, intolerance, for instance. (These kind of negative energies are not to be banished or repressed forever. They can be invited later by your own choice. Whenever you feel strong enough to face up to, and work with any of the shadow aspects of self to transmute them, just go ahead and do it. Preferably one by one. Nice and easy does it…

This seemingly simple exercise sets up boundaries that allow only these chosen experiences to be a part of your life. These boundaries become a shield that ward off the things which are undesirable to you. The shield reflects what you are and what you want to others on an unconscious level and it will protect you.
(Of course you can and should feel free to create a shield out of any material you feel comfortable with, and inspired by.)

If you want to make the shield even more powerful,
add the following prayer, extracted from the Flight of the Seventh Moon: Awaken the shield to life through saying prayers to the Galaxy of Stars, to the Milky Way. When you pray you invoke the Galaxy to enter your Shield. Pray to the Endless Space. Pray to the Sun, pray to the Seven Spirit Guardians of the Great Dream, Earth, Jupiter, Mars, Neptune, Mercury, Moon and Venus. Ask for the medicine you want, tell them what kind of protection you need. Ask the little bird Mercury to protect you from harm. Ask her for swiftness of body and soul. Ask Sun and Jupiter to protect you from the madness of the collective human consciousness. Ask Mars for strength. Ask Mother Earth for personal gravity, charisma, and for the power to heal. Ask the Moon for fantasy and intuition.
It is done!

Herstoria:
A Confession of Faith the Shaman Way

The Great Spirit
Empty space is an illusion. The universe is the Every-thing, the Great Spirit - Wakantanka.
Deer Tribe Metis Society, the shaman school, teaches the science of the spiritual meeting between the female energy which is the receptive creative life-giver and the male energy which is the active manifesting energy. This sacred meeting and science is called Chululaqui – Quoudoushka. It is this meeting between the male and female energy that gives birth and form to everything created in the Universe. All present forms of life create the Great Spirit, the Great Mystery.

The shamanistic point of view states that we humans are all unique individuals and yet at the same time we are pure energy mind bodies of light who have chosen form. We share this dream together. We choose to be born to earth as humans to gather knowledge of our self through the experience of form. The elders have taught us that everything created, plants, minerals, animals, knows of its harmony, balance, alignment, and connection with all other things except humans, who must learn this through sitting in the Gathering Together Circle and through touching each other with beauty.

All research about the history of the earliest images of Gods shows clearly that the first godly image was personified as a woman – the Great Mother. Archeologists and myth researchers agree at that. She was the obvious image to give birth to life, to create life. Let’s go back in time to the ancient civilization called Uruk, 4000 – 3000 B.C. the oldest civilization preserved in cuneiform writing. The knowing of the world in Mesopotamia was fundamentally different from what we experience in our modern time.
The Sumerian religion was polyteistic, that is, the people believed in many gods and goddesses. The worlds of the god/desses and the world of the humans were closely connected with each-other.

TheAct

To the Sumerians nature was full of gods, goddesses and godly signs.
The stars could reveal the intentions of the god/goddess to the humans.
The god/goddess could also send dreams to the humans and therefore dream-interpretation had an important stand in society. One could also escape ones destiny through asking the god/goddess to change it. There were magical rituals intended to change the course of fate.

Abzu was the cosmic ocean where all life-force had its origin and where the effects of everything that ever happened gathered. This secretive ocean contained all the fundamentals that kept the order in Cosmos. Abzu contained eternal original shapes and/or patterns (me) for everything that existed in the material world. Those original forms were unchangeable and perfect. The me was the very foundation of all knowledge. In the hands of the god/goddesses these me became powers that could rule the entire world. If a god was to have the position as the highest god he or she had to have access to the me that governed that position.

The ideal was that the entire society would be organized to mirror the divine me as much as possible. If so, there would be order, harmony and wealth in the country. This was also true on an individual level, since there was also a me for each human. The human would as much as possible in her/his thinking and acting follow her/his me. If she/he succeeded with that she/he would be a happy human that had fulfilled her/his destiny. There was also me for things, actions, professional skills, and also for the abstract.

The conception of me lived on in Mesopotamia for a little more than 2000 years, all the way to when our western time counted from the birth of Jesus started. Plato’s teachings of eternal ideas of shapes and forms remind a whole lot of the ancient Mesopotamian conception of me. This has been pointed out by several scientists. Whether Plato knew about the Mesopotamian culture or not has not yet been researched.
More about Inanna: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inanna

In the next epoch in the story of images of gods the culture of the war-gods appears.  In the north of the world it started with the gods of the Aesirs. The thunder and lightning god Thor in good (?) company with Odin, initiated a war with the peaceful Vanir people, and won. Shortly after this occurrence the Hebrew thunder and war god Jehovah, which means the ruler of the armies, arrived. One of his commandments was: - ‘Whoever worships other gods than the Lord Jehovah shall be given to holocaust’.
2 Mos. 22:20. The Hebrew Abraham is the father of the god image of both Christians and Muslims; Allah is another Jehovah.

The Old Testament, the history of the Hebrew people, can also be called the death-book of the great mother goddess, the victory book of the patriarch that was in particular devastating for the women. All heathens, that is, the people who worshiped the mother goddess, and all heretics, that is, all people that didn’t agree with the teachings in the old testament, for example that the sun circled the earth and not the other way around, had to be killed, and was killed. The power to give birth was replaced with the power to kill. The pentagram, the symbol of Venus, goddess of love, has been transformed to a symbol of war, (Pentagon), and black magic. The Hebrew war -god Jehovah/Allah have in our days usurped totalitarian power over a majority of humans both political and spiritual.

In our time, the Goddess, the Great Mother, is being reborn. All humans are anchored with the original mother, we all stem from the womb of the great mother, no matter what race or nationality. Some of us feel extra strongly that we want to learn about the shaman way, we have a calling. A young person who feels a strong pull towards the art of magic has often been a witch/shaman in several previous incarnations. The burnings in the 15 and 16 century did kill a lot of people with knowledge of the ancient ways of relating to earth, but as time passes, these souls are reborn, and the knowledge is remembered. We who dream together reinstall the goddess on her righteous place next to the god. As being co-creators we re-create and re-dress the balance and equilibrium amongst us humans.

Practice: The Great Spirit speaks: Look around, my daughters and sons. See the insects, the animal, and the plants. See the trees in the forests, the fish in the waters, the birds in the air, and know, that they don’t need you to survive; it’s you who need them! Therefore you should treat all living carefully, with love and empathy. Respect them as if they were another you. Only then can you be free, because, in truth, you are all my children.
It is done!

Tyrants
According to the Mayan Calender a long cycle of thirteen heavens had come to its end just as Cortés stepped into Mexico in the middle of the 1500 century, and therefore they knew exactly what day Cortés and his men would turn up. He was the first in a long row of brutal and ruthless white men who then started their colonization of the world. To the Mayas it was the beginning of a dark cycle of suffering, pain, misery and death. They called the cycle Xibalbas Age, the Age of the nine dark Lords, the nine bolontikus, nine hells.
The positive the age would bring was that a cross-fertilization between the four human races, the white, the black, the red and the yellow would take place, and give birth to the rainbowpeople, a mix of all the races, that would inhabit the earth in the coming age, which the Mayas call Itzá Age. According to the Maya calendar the transit into this new age is to be completed in 2013, when we as humans would have moved out of the age of the nine dark Lords and into the Age of the Rainbow. By then the knowledge and tradition of the Mayas will have been reinstalled, its science, art, mathematics and spiritual beliefsystem.

Batty Thunderbear speaks: -There aren’t two wolves that hunt together and at the same time go against each other. But human relations are different. The people we choose to surround us with are mirrors to us. Some of the people mirror sides of ourselves that we like, others mirror sides of ourselves that we don’t like. Some mirrors both positive and negative stuff, especially those we have closest to us. Our parents, our children, our friends, our partners are those that in the language of Sweet Medicine are called our tyrants. The tyrants encourage us to look at our dark mirrors, so that we can see and accept also these unpleasant parts of ourselves and become whole. The teachings of the tyrants shows the nine different aspects of ourselves when we are being tyrants for the people around us, as well as the tyrants other people can be for us.

The nine tyrants according to Sweet Medicine:
1: The irritating, annoying tyrant is insensible and seems to always get in the way. They often show up uninvited and always stay longer than they are welcome. They have incredibly bad timing and are completely unaware of the negative emotions their behavior invokes in you. They provoke on an emotional level. 2: The sly, cunning and twisty tyrant is a master of manipulation. Normally they manipulate to get what they want. They make you react physically by becoming oversensitive. 3: The brutal, mean and violent tyrant uses physical violence to entitle their way. This is the most obvious and easiest tyrant to see through.

4: The sad, melancholy, guilt-provoking tyrant work through our value system what to beleive is right and wrong to make us feel guilt. ‘If you loved me you would….5: The stalking, torturing tyrants work through our philosophies and belief systems, and want to break down all other points of view but their own. They destroy our originality and artistry. 6: The anger and rage provoking tyrant pushes all our bottoms. 7: The master/mistress is ready to kill to rule. They work through our spiritual believes and our imagination to conquer us. Their goal is nothing less than to have complete control over us. 8: The lower self, shideh-tyrant is our inner self-concept. The most effective tool for this tyrant is dependency, condemnation, expectation, comparison, the wanton child syndrome, and being egoistical. 9: The teacher-tyrant has got two sides. They have the ability to see our inner self. They also have the ability to become any one of the above tyrants by willpower, and they know exactly which one to use to provoke us to develop and grow. They act as catalysts for their surroundings.

Old Age, Middle Age, New Age, but right now we humans are in a collective Teen Age phase that we have to get through before we can enter into New Age. The teenage phase every authority from childhood must be questioned. Parents, teachers, as well as all other persons that has had power over the child in one way or another are bound to be minutely examined and eventually dethroned. Every psychologist knows that this process is due to happen with their patients, and as a professional it’s very important not to take the dethroning personally. If one does take it personally, it hurts. The teenage phase is also about finding out everything about emotions, with the purpose to come out of the phase with an understanding of emotions and to be able to be relatively balanced on the emotional level. If a parent to a teen him/herself was balanced emotionally he/she could help in this process through understanding it and to not take it personally.

Practise: It’s very useful to learn about the existence of the different tyrants. With the knowledge of their existence one is able to break the destructive power they conduct over us whenever they show up.
To our aid in this relatively long term work we need to develop discipline – to get to know ourselves, and to understand just how we are being co-creators of everything that goes on in the life around us.
Through taking good care of our physical body we create control over the physical space.
We create mental forbearance through developing patience and insightful far-seeing.

Through observing our inner and outer tyrants we get to know their signs of weakness, see how they play their game, and discover their self-importance. Then we are to wait until the moment when they are the most vulnerable and then use our power of will to spin them and make them see their true selves. From the children tales we learn that the trolls will crack if they are brought out into the sunlight and in the stories about vampires we find the same allegory: sunlight will kill them. That would mean that the bad guys can’t stand sunlight, it will kill them.
Hence the word: Enlightenment!
It is done!

The Art of Suffering
The Aboriginal people of Australia say
that we humans are spirits visiting this world. They say that we are here because as spirits we want to experience all kinds of emotions, both positive and negative. And if the theory that we are spiritual beings having a human experience is for real it means that in order to become whole, one must have learned and experienced all that has to do with emotion. One of the greater collective emotions we are learning all about is suffering. So much so that billions of people have a tortured, crucified man hanging in front of their holy places whom they worship. Suffering is the utmost virtue. The one who suffers the most is the holiest, becomes a martyr, a saint. The words cross and crucifix originates from the Latin verb ‘cruciare’ which means ‘to torture’.

The torture chamber within: It used to be common practice as a Christian to scourge one-self or to carry a hair shirt in order to through physical suffering repent the sins the Christian God claims each human being is born with. Nowadays most of us have an inner torture chamber in our psyche that we visit more or less on a daily basis. That chamber is filled with self-negative and torturing thoughts, an endless stream of unimaginable cruel thoughts that tells us how useless we are, such a fake, totally worthless of any kind of compassion or love. Sometimes we surround us with people who will give their voice to statements like that. Then we’re going to hear those torturing voices loud and clear in our outer reality as well.

The masochist and the sadist are two sides of the same coin
. Let´s not deny that pain and pleasure also couple up. After the torture comes a sense of rebirth. In its own twisted way it is a kind of spiritual purification. The Stockholm syndrome, when one feels love toward ones abuser.

Native American Indians
have been practicing spiritual initiation through inflicting physical pain, called the Sundance, for as long as they can remember. Woman goes through this initiation when they give birth. When we experience physical pain we become conscious about our physical body and its importance for our wellbeing. We can experience out of body action when we have a fever or other kind of strong pain.

It's very important for the shaman apprentice to create a good and solid relationship with ones physical body through regular physical training and conscious breathing like for example yoga. To be able to listen to ones gut-feeling one has to practice ones gut muscles, as simple as that.

My research concerning witchcraft and shamanism started out with two questions: Who was she that was burned at the stake as a witch? And what is it we are so afraid of? The answer to the first question is that it was an entire culture that revered the mother as the Creatress of all life that got exterminated. The answer to the second question is that we are afraid to feel good, to feel happy and content. There must always be something to complain about because that is how we get sympathy from our fellow humans, when we are in suffering or in pain of some kind. We don’t get at all as much sympathy if we don’t have any complaints. The chance is great that we then on the contrary will be regarded with suspicion and in some ways be excluded from the pack. Since we as humans are dependent of other peoples acceptance it becomes hard, almost impossible, to feel entirely good about one self and one’s life.

As a collective we are to learn all there is to know about suffering. But now we close up to the end of the era of suffering.
A new era is dawning and the era symbolized by the cross is soon coming to its end. The global human family will once and for all leave all suffering behind and enter an era of peace on earth. Freedom from: war, misery, starvation, poverty and greed. We are finding the balance in paradox. Time has come to release Jesus from hanging on the cross, and move on into the future as whole individuals, governed by love and compassion. Past becomes present becomes future becomes past. The circle of time is completed. All time is in the present!

Practice: The more one suffers, the closer to the end of suffering one gets. The more frightened one is, the more one closes up to the point when one becomes one’s own savior/hero.
Open your heart. Speak out loud. Say: ‘I release myself from the cross, both from carrying it and from hanging nailed to it. Day by day I’m moving towards enlightenment, to become whole. Day by day I do what I can to add my contribution to the world peace movement.’ Continue on to meditate that you go within your mind’s eye, into your inner chamber of torture. Bring with you whatever spiritual allies you have by now that can give you enough support so that you’ll be able to accomplish this mission. Meet up with your inner torturers. Dismiss them. Clean the space out. Magically create a window, open it up so that fresh air and sunlight pours into the room.
It is done!

Magic - Science of Energy
A rose has got its energy, a crystal has got it’s. Yes, every plant and every mineral have their own specific energy. As well as every animal have its own energy and knowledge based on the ways and habits of the animal. Mostly the animal teaches us humans to be who we are. Who’s ever seen a dog wanting to be a frog? The dog is always a dog!
Thunder, rain, sun, earth, gods and goddesses, all is energy.

According to the shaman-teachings a human being is micro-cosmos
in macro-cosmos. Everything that exists without also exists within. The shaman/witch, or the magic worker, has taken this to heart and work with energy all the time. Nature has its own laws that one as a magic practitioner has to learn how to adjust to. One learns from ones mistakes, like all learning is based on learning through mistakes.

Extract from Sweet Medicine: When one devotes to work with magic it comes with the power to bring harmony and balance to one’s own life and to others life. When one starts to balance oneself according to the laws of magic one begin to get glimpses from the magical reality because one tell all inhabitants on earth that one believe in beauty. To learn magic is to weave the contents of life in tangible forms. To be lifted beyond ones usual vision and see the powers that gives us life. To learn to understand everything with ones whole self, with all ones senses. Sight, hearing, taste, smell, all one is as a human being.

What happened today happened to all of one self. Therefore it was magical, and that’s why one was kind of intoxicated. One dreamed beyond fantasy into an area usually reserved for shamans, for seers. The lonely world where madness and genius meet is well known to a person who works with magic. One should never think that one has found this way solely because one has worked hard and long, through many lifetimes. One is now and forever on the ultimate journey, the greatest adventure is following ones footsteps along the magical path.

drommen

From the book Medicine Woman by Lynn Andrews: About Power:
The energy of spirit flows through all things. A practitioner of magic is able to translate that energy into healing purposes and to transformation for him/her-self and others. Power is strength and ability to see oneself through one’s own eyes and not through anyone else’s eyes. Power is to be able to place a circle of power at one’s own feet and not to take power from anyone else’s circle. True power is love. Envy and the need to control others give birth to black magic.

One has always two choices, to nurture or to destroy.
In the early stages of shaman apprenticeship it is very important to examine all ones fears because evil and manipulation are born out of fear. To get to know ones fears, one has to get to know oneself, which is very difficult. One needs to make a big effort or an act of beauty.

In reality no one is powerless.
Many look at the bow of authority as an object outside of them and are fearful even to pick it up. As a witch one must learn how to draw that bow, learn how to use ones authority. If one talks to a person standing in a powerless position and tells that person to take his/her power, she/he gets frightened because what one is saying implies change. She/he must take the step into the mystery, the unknown, to find his/her power.

If a person is not using his/her power, the power sits within without having anything to focus on. Then power can become perverted and evil and turn against its person. If a person backs away from his/her power, she/he will have back problems and all kind of diseases can come out of it. The greatest danger with not having learned everything about one’s fears and transformed them into allies and helpers is that one doesn’t have any intent or direction with one’s power and the power will become homeless and transient. The person will then be destroyed by his/her own power.

Practice: Stress is the number 1 enemy of magic. Relaxation is everything. Ironically, to relax can be the hardest assignment of all. But practice makes perfect! So be sure to take at least ten minutes every day to do a complete body relaxation. On you tube, if you look for deep meditation. you will have at least a couple of hundred thousand insertions to choose from. Relaxation never has to be boring!
It is done!

Herstoria: The Doctor's Hat

To become one’s own best healer
Every human being has an inner capacity
to cure their own emotional trauma. If there is a problem, there is also a solution, its sacred law. According to the shaman school there is always a subconscious emotional imbalance to every disease. The apprentice is told that all physical disease has its origin in our thoughts. The disease starts out as a shadow in our aura. If it remains untreated the shadow will with time eat its way into the physical body, where it creates physical symptoms of itself. That’s why many witchdoctors/shamans start all treatments brushing of the patient’s aura with a feather and some incense. Many healers regardless of nationality use an eagle-feather and dried sage and/or cedar and lavender. Then he/she embarks on a vision-quest to try to trace the emotional origin of the shadow. If the illness has taken severe physical form one might also need to seek help from the ordinary healthcare, where there are surgeons that are very skilled. A combination of spiritual and physical healing is then required.

Each her/his own Creator. There is nobody out there that has a final say when it comes to the witch/shaman. He/she has written her own book of life, decided who other souls to meet up with during her/his lifetime, and also all other actions according to her book of karma. The witch/shaman is not a little lamb amongst the sheep shepherded by the Lord, she/he is a wolf who creates her/his own way through life. She/he is the one to decide what she/he can or can’t do, as long as she/he shows respect to all living, and she/he is not awaiting a prince/princess that will come and solve her/his problems. The witch must have the courage to challenge her/his own fears, open all the closed closets and find all skeletons in her/his psyche, spend the night in the forest, howl like her/his sister/brother wolf to the moon, and feel the fire within her/his belly as a tremendous creative power resource.

Don’t accept anything I write as the ultimate truth. My texts are not based on hard science or accepted statistic facts. They are a mixture of personal experience, deductive reasoning, and something I can only describe as "received' knowledge. I also convey knowledge given to me by teachers both living and dead that has had an impact on my personal spiritual and physical development.

The reader is advised to add a "maybe" or "as it seems to Rosie" to the end of every sentence, in order to counteract the otherwise authoritative tone of the piece, necessary for clarity and development. My words are no one’s law. I want to challenge my readers to think and feel for themselves. You are to write your own book of law.

Everything I describe in my chronicles,
ceremonies and other practical work, works for me. If it also works for you, it’s just great. It is my wish that everyone that partakes in my texts try them out to find out if it also works for them. I want to inspire to Magical Anarchy: that each individual will be able to create their own original solutions and cures to heal their own problems. To have the courage to know when it’s time to do nothing, and when it’s time to act with power. Each and everyone free to create their own unique magical path through life.

Summation from the Sweet Medicine Manual: Don’t accept any theories until you tested them. Life is your opportunity to try out, not to accept. Act, and then evaluate. You as an individual choose your direction, your actions, and yet you are inseparable from the whole. The cosmic will works through you, yet you need to take full responsibility for each thought and action. You are guided, with a mission and a meaning, and yet you function with total free will, like an independent agent. You are constantly channeling the universal life-force filtered through your thought-patterns and your ability to visualize, to dream.  Everything in the universe is created by vibrations, and vibrations can be changed depending on your attitude. Meditation, concentration, reflection, relaxation, all of these affects your vibration.

Extract from Jamie Sam’s book the Thirteen Original Clan-Mothers:

Here are Seven Wisdoms meant to improve your ability to focus, and to make it easier for you to persevere in your personal evolution: 1. There are no rules for how one should grow or change. 2. All self-implied rules or condemnations are restricting illusions. 3. The Great Mystery cannot be solved, so don’t even try. 4. Everything you seek you can find within yourself. 5. Laughter and satire dissolve the illusions and fears. 6. Invisible worlds exist within the tangible and cannot be separated. 7. You Are, the moment you decide to Be.

Practice:
A great medicine in case one is feeling depressed is to sing and dance. Singing opens up the
throat and heals the communication between the heart and the head. Dancing send signals of joy to all the cells of the body. So go ahead and sing for all your worth, and dance your body full of lust and joy, every time you feel like it. And as it says in my yoga instruction book, when one feel the least energy to do yoga it’s probably the time one need to do yoga the most.
It is done!

Ghosts & Spirits
Life is like a dream, suddenly you wake up. And then you are dead. Wondering what strange dream you’d been dreaming, and how fast everything moved…..
What happens according to the shaman school when we die? The Hopi for instance believe that they when they die return home to the star they once left to be born as a human on planet Earth. The Mexican sorcerers in Carlos Castaneda’s books say that a big Eagle devour us when we die. But that we can slip passed the Eagle into freedom. That’s the gift of the Eagle to the humans. To be able to slip pass the Eagle they use a method they call recapitulation. Theoretically the Eagle feeds from the experiences of the humans. So by recapitulation, that is, to feed the Eagle with all one’s experiences before one dies, one becomes of no interest to the Eagle when one dies, and that’s the way to slip pass the Eagle. Though it is not really an Eagle, it’s just an effort to describe the power that’s waiting to eat our life experiences when they release from our physical form.

North American Natives use the expression to ’drop the robe.’ That means to let go of the physical body and then to live on in the spirit body, the astral body. Then you’re in what the Aborigine in Australia call Dreamtime, in shaman school the fifth dimension. The sorcerers in C. Castaneda’s books call the fifth dimension for Nagual, where all time is all the time, past, present, future. And they call white man’s four known dimensions for Tonal. When we sleep and dream we travel in time and space, as well as when we daydream, and also when we’re dead!

Our ancestors in Scandinavia, the Vanes, believed, like the North American Natives, in the immortality of the soul as well as in reincarnation.
To die was for them to return to the Great Mother, Hel, who lived deep within the earth itself. In between the incarnations our ancestors spend a resting period in her land. It was a blessed existence filled with light and happiness. One also met with ones dead relatives. Besides, one didn’t have to worry about things like food, shelter, sleep and warmth, since one didn’t have a physical body.
Every new baby that was born was greeted by the Vanes as a beloved ancestor being reborn.

To call a ghost a ghost is a bit condescending in a way.
Ancestor-spirits is the word used in the shaman-school, and includes all spirits who have walked this earth in physical form, but that now only exists in spirit.
And spirits have very different experiences, with very different agendas, actually like we humans on the physical side of existence have.  It ranges from those spirits who are enlightened masters, who can come and go between the worlds as they please, to the other side of the spectrum where those who died in a dramatic and/or unexpected way are stuck to the place of their death, unable to let go of their physical existence. Those are the kinds of spirits that TV-shows like the Ghost-whisperer and Medium are addressing.

In today’s world there is an invisible wall separating the physical and the spiritual world, kind of like the wall being built between Israel and Palestine. One major reason for that could be that we humans living in the Western society still in this very time are so strongly conditioned by the rules and laws stipulated in the Old Testament. The lord Jehova strongly opposes all human contact with the spirit world. Let the dead ones rest in their graves until judgement day. Then they all will come alive again! But until then, no contact, or the wrath of the Lord will befall upon you…..
However, this wall is now slowly but firmly being pulled down. The increased number of television-shows featuring mediums and various psychic experiences is an evidence of this. People’s opinions are slowly changing into a collective acceptance of the idea of the existence of life after death. One of the major discoveries of the western human collective in the 2000-century will be that we don’t die when we die.

Extract from Jamie Sam’s book the Thirteen Original Clan-mothers: "There have been many worlds. Each world has evolved just like a human through successive stages of development. A body has been replaced by another until all that remains is pure light. When we wish upon a star, our thoughts reach the ancient beings whos consciousness is so brilliant that they no longer need physical bodies. Every star glows with its development. The Blue Jewel Earth now wants to shine with even more power so that she increases her vibration and her existence. The Earth-Mother reaches for the skies by coordinating her human children’s consciousness with other brilliantly glowing planets loving and peaceful consciousnesses. She asks us to look up towards the star-filled night-sky, fill ourselves with light, and put ourselves in perspective. She wants us to remember and write down all the lives we lived and all lives everybody has lived before us. Each and everyone have contributed with their part of the spark and the sparks that creates our solar-system.’

Practice: Recapitulation. Extract from the gift of the Eagle by Carlos Castaneda:
Write a list of episodes that involved a lot of your emotions and therefore need to be relived. Deal with one episode at a time. Take the subject on top of your list and breathe with it until all emotions involved has been released.
The process commences with one beginning breath. Start with your chin close to your right shoulder and inhale slowly meanwhile you move your head in a half circle. Stop inhaling when you reach your left shoulder.
Breathe out and look straight forward.
Continue to inhale slowly and move your head from the right to the left shoulder while you remember all emotions, then immediately exhale and move your head from left to right. By doing this you push out all tiny threads that have been left inside you by other shining bodies that were involved in the episode you’re recapitulating. Continue this exercise as long as you have the energy for it. Not too long, though. Better to do a little and more frequent, than a lot and more seldom.

The purpose of this breathing is to repossess lost energy. The shining body is constantly producing threads similar to a spider’s web, which are constantly being rejected from the shining mass. All situations or contacts that give rise to emotions of all kinds are potentially straining for the shining body. What happens when you breathe from right to left while you remember an emotion, you pick up the abandoned threads with assistance from the magical breathing, and thus heal your shining body!
It is done!

Ps. Short repetition: Eight stones in a circle, four crystals in the four cardinal directions, call in all helpers. The circle of crystals is the earth wheel that enlightens the energy of the physical body. To build a circle of crystals around oneself is excellent if one want to remember all information that is stored in ones physical body. A circle of crystals around ones house protects and purifies. Crime and punishment
The second sacred law in the Sweet Medicine Shaman School
is that nothing shall be done to harm the children.
My teacher Harley Swift-Deer describes the Western Code of Laws as a pit of rattlesnakes. If you stick your hand in it you’ll most certainly get bit …. He also says that we could swop all our rules and laws for this only one, namely that nothing shall be done to harm the children. And when he says children he means all the children of Mother Earth, plants, minerals, animals, air, fire, water, earth and humans.

The people now in power reign through division. We as a collective are all trapped in a vicious circle of blame, shame and guilt. The short term profit philosophy leads to severe damage being done towards Mother Earth and all her children. All of this has created a caustic anger stored in the wombs of women all over the world. The pharmacy industry is making big money. Who can we blame? Who is the scapegoat? The answer is that all of us have our part of the responsibility.

The communist as well as the capitalist social structure requires 30% socially marginalized people for the state apparatus to function. Social security, police/court of law, prisons, medical care, psychiatric care, all craves ‘clients’, that is, socially marginalized people.

justice

Therefore, in a subconscious way, at least three out of ten students must fail the basic reading, writing and math-skills required. And our politicians can’t solve the homeless problem, because if there weren’t any homeless people as a deterrent example what can and will happen if one jumps or falls of the treadmill, so many people would quit their efforts to keep paying all their bills that the whole society would fall to pieces….

The bottom line is that if there weren’t any abandoned and hungry children, no public authority and no pharmaceuticals to cure anxiety or other stress-related disorders of the mind or body would be needed.

White mans goddess of justice, Justitia,
has symbolically her eyes covered with a blindfold. Isn’t it time for all of us to open our eyes? Don’t we know enough, after all the books and films about heroes/oines that saves the planet we’ve read and seen by now? Don’t most people nowadays know that it is hurt people that hurt people? Can’t we all, at least as many as can be, take on the role of the hero and after saving ourselves together we´ll save the world and all its children from the evil powers that now steer the world politics towards more and more war, more and more prisons, higher and higher interests, stress, fear and terror?

If only the war on poverty was actually a real war, we would put money into it.’

The Hopis call the time we’re living in right now for the black and white Era, the Era of Separation.
Now is the time when we humans are busy separating and dividing everything into black/white, master/slave, high/low, for better or for worse. They say it is an Era in which we as a collective human family are supposed to learn all there is to know about both evil and good. That’s why, says the Hopi, we as a collective must learn all about just how cruel a human being is capable of being. Otherwise we wouldn’t learn all about ourselves.

Once we’ve gotten to know ourselves in all our aspects,
which we probably will have soon enough, (it’s hard to think of something that can top the cruelty performed at Guantanamo,) we will come to the end of the Era of Separation, heal the division in our hearts, and enter into the Era of the Rainbow. By then humans will have realized that we are all one people that shares one earth, and we will as a collective consciously say no to war and all its cruelties. Hopi say that we as a collective unified human family then will experience 50000 years of Peace on planet Earth!

The last word for now goes to Ruby Morning Star, a seer in the society of the Chrystal skulls:
We are all dreamers, and right now we are dreaming a collective nightmare. Could it be that the grief we feel in our hearts when we think of how bad the situation is for so many of the earth’s children can wake us up, so we can start to dream a dream of peace instead? The more people that make peace within themselves and with all their relations, the closer we get to the manifestation of peace all over the world.’

Everything is born of Woman
From the Art of Dreaming by Carlos Castaneda: The knowledge of the sorcerer is that the universe is markedly female and that manhood is but a sideshow of the female, so rare and therefore so desirable. Don Juan said that maybe the scarcity of manliness is the reason for the unmotivated male dominance on our planet in this time and age.

The first law according to the teachings of Sweet Medicine is that all life is born of Woman. Shamanism puts woman in a holy place, the central place. The female physical form is considered of great importance and value. The womb is the gateway to the universe, therefore all women carries home within their bodies. The physical womb is the epicenter of the body-consciousness, the place of the subconscious. Every woman is capable to learn how to listen to that consciousness. Female logic is equal to intuition. In shamanism women are considered to have an advantage over men on this planet, purely because of their female physical form.

Men have got a womb too, placed a little bit here and there in their aura. Thus, men need to try their ideas in action in order to know the consequences, while women can understand the consequences without having to test their ideas in action first. Men and women learn things differently. Try to teach the next ten men you meet to give birth!

On the Medicine-wheel, west is the place of woman. In the west the sun sets, the day/the life ends, and transforms into night. Death is really a change of substance into spirit. Death can be creative, as the death of destructive conditioning, the death of vanity, of greed, the wounded child’s death.
I want my death to be beautiful.’

A grand task for women everywhere right now is to reconnect to the so called womb-brain. To re-learn how to follow the knowing from the womb up through the heart and transform that knowledge to action. The brain is the place of judgment, of separation. The womb-brain knows everything. We mustn’t be afraid of the dark. Every human must sooner or later confront their shadowy side. All humans must go through the dark to get to the light.

The Great Mother, the Godess, is reborn in our time now. Practically all indigenous people around the globe base their belief-system on a holy Mother figure. In the Middle East the name of the Mother-Goddess was Ishtar, the Vanes called her Hel, in Egypt her name was Isis. In Christianity her name is Maria. Speaking of Christianity, in the Old Testament it is written about the thousand year kingdom. Well, now those thousand years has passed! The Dragon, the symbol for the old religion, for Mother Earth, is awakening! Everywhere around the globe women and men are gathering to dance around fires in the moonlight, to dance and sing for everything living and growing on planet Earth.

All around the planet there are various sisterhood gatherings taking place, sisterhoods from all times, both ancient and newly initiated. They have names like: Sisters of Mankind, Sisterhood of the Snake, Sisterhood of the Whirlwind Serpent Fire, Sisterhood of the Dragonfly, Sisterhood of the Silver Star, Sisterhood of the Spinning Shields, and so forth….
’Life, unity and equality for eternity’ is the watchword of the sisterhood and it includes all humans and other life-forms. The advice for all women in this moment of time is to stay together, stay connected, and to learn how to use our innate shamanic knowing, which will also bring good and healing energy to all the men/brothers/suns/fathers.  All men carry a body memory that they need a woman to enter the void. They need to dance with a woman who is in touch with her inner Goddess to wake up their inner God.

Extract from the DaVinci Code by Dan Brown, s.492, close to the end:’ Times are changing. We are beginning to understand the risks with our history, and with our destructive way of living. We are beginning to acknowledge the need to restore the value of the sacred feminine.´ End of quote. And here the very last sentences in the book: ‘Langdon raised his gaze towards the sky and saw the splendid starry night sky. Like murmurs of spirits in the dark he heard the eco of forgotten words. The search for the Holy Grail is an ambition to fall down on your knees in front of Maria Magdalena.  It is a journey to say your prayers at the feet of the rejected one. Robert Langdon was suddenly filled with reverence and fell down on his knees. For a moment he thought he heard a woman’s voice…. the wisdom of forgotten centuries ….whispered to him from the great void.

Practice:
Healing Patience
Turtle, Great Mother, feed my soul, clothe my heart, so that I can be of use for you.
The Turtle is the oldest symbol for planet Earth. It personifies Goddess-energy, and our everlasting Mother. We are born from the womb of Earth and our bodies return to her body when we die. In respect of Earth we must always remember to give something back to our Mother, as thanks for everything she gives us. Turtle teaches us about the sacred balance between giving and taking.

She lays her eggs in the sand, to let the sun give them warmth until they are hatched. She teaches us humans to let our ideas develop in tranquility and peace before we take them out in the public. Patience is strength. Everything has to take the time it needs. It’s not always that the biggest, strongest and fastest comes first to goal, like in the children’s story about the turtle and the hare. If you are in a hurry all the time it can easily happen that once you reach your goal and someone asks you what you’ve been up to on the way there, you cannot answer that question. You have been too stressed out the whole way to notice anything in particular….And besides from that, to get to the finish-point to early can make one feel very immature.

Turtle is the best ally to call in for support when one is feeling lonely, stressed out, or when one is striving to get ones finances in balance. Or if one wishes to become pregnant.
It is done!

Architect of the Mind/Archetypes
Every human being is a Shakespeare-drama!!
Extract from the book A guided tour of the Collected works of C. G. Jung by Robert H Hopcke:
Jung represents that which is called archetypical psychology. He talks about archetypes like anima /animus, the divine child, the great mother, the wise old man, the hero, the trickster and the virgin. Archetypes for him were typical forms of perception, patterns and understanding that all humans have in common as being members of the human family. As the archetypes per definition exists outside of the conscious part of the mind they appear almost as forces of nature that arranges the individual human experience in certain ways without any consideration for the constructive or destructive consequences for the person involved.

When Jung uses the archetype theory to explain the likeness in the psyche’s way of functioning and the pictorial language thru history and in various cultures, he imagined a second layer in the subconscious that he called the collective subconscious. This layer contains the patterns of the psyche that all humans no matter what race or nation experience – the archetypes.
To be attentive to the figures and movements in the collective subconscious one gets a direct contact with indispensable human experience and insights. Jung considered the collective subconscious as the ultimate psychic source of power, wholeness and inner change. (End of extract.)

There are plenty of archetypical movies, like Starwars, Braveheart, yes, one could say that most movies are mirrors of the archetypes that together creates the collective subconscious. My sons and I have a movie-club, that is, once in a while we go to a cinema together, and it is almost always the same theme, the hero that fights to save the world, and the princess, or the other way around. Most books also tell in an archetypical way about the individual way to achieve psychological maturity.

The pictorial language of the archetypes
can also be found in the runes and in the tarot cards, I Ching, and so forth. The image as such is like an icon on the computer screen of the brain, When you click on it/draw a rune/tarot-card, it leads to files situated in the hard-disk/subconscious, that contains more advanced and detailed information the deeper one dig.

The person searching for information immediately gets different ideas, transported from the subconscious/hard-disk to the conscious part of the mind/computer screen, that are all associated with the archetypical energy the rune/tarot-card/icon represents.

The Architect of the Mind
Once one has grasped the basic mapping of the archetypes of the mind, and of the collective psyche, one can start the exciting work to become one’s own architect of one’s own mind. The little grey brain-cells can do well with some restoring and redecoration, and probably a great deal of coloring. Which parts of the psyche needs strengthening and which parts needs to be changed? Every day the mind is constantly fed with different external impressions. The work done by the shaman/witch is to filter all those impressions, and then, the most important part, to make a conscious choice which impressions to keep, and which ones to let go off. This is the beginning of an exciting adventure.
Once one realize just how much one can affect ones outer reality through changing and redecorating one’s own psyche, through changing one’s own attitudes, one becomes spurred to continue to experiment.  Practice makes perfekt!

Practice: The Wasp-nest
Sit or lay down and relax. Let your breathing become deep and calm. Imagine you have roots growing down in the earth beneath you. Breathe in and out pure earth-energy for a little while. Then move your focus upward, and imagine you have a wasps-nest where your head is. Feel how your thoughts are buzzing around in your head like angry wasps flying here and there. Imagine you enter into the queen chamber. Tell her it’s time for her to fly away. Imagine the roof opening up above her, that is, the top of your head. Open up your dream-eye, the fontanel, and let the queen fly out through that hole. All the other wasps will follow her. Soon all wasps/buzzing thoughts have disappeared as has the queen. The big, black swarm is now gone, and all that remains in your head is golden honey running through your brain. Listen to the exquisite silence. Sit in stillness and enjoy for a while!
It is done!

Lammas
The great Wheel of the Year
is turning from summer to the time of the first harvest at Lammas, held on 1 and 2 of August. Lammas is placed southwest on the wheel and is the time when nature prepares for the coming Autumnal Equinox, the second harvest-festival placed in the west on the wheel. As Candle-mass represents the dawn of the one year long day of the Wheel of the Year, Lammas represents the dusk. Both symbolize the crack between the worlds, between the world of winter to the world of spring, between summer and autumn. Lammas is the time of year when people celebrate the abundance of nature. Traditional Lammas food and drink are berries, fruit, grains, bread, crabapples, cake, cider, apple juice and schnapps and wine. It is also the proper time to reflect on the happenings of the past year, to go through ones experiences, winnings, losses, and to make an evaluation. And then to express gratitude for one’s own individual learning process and for all the rich gifts of nature.

Our ancestors engaged in ceremonies and rituals
that prepared them for the coming winter, and so for the approaching unavoidable death. In our modern society we don’t do ceremonies to serve this purpose anymore. We don’t prepare ourselves for the ultimate journey, for us death is a terrifying concept. We tend to cling to life at any cost. Nobody knows what actually will happen. The Christian indoctrination has been brutal, and we still can’t be sure if we’re going to hell or not. Even if hell was abolished by the Swedish Church in the late 70ties, we still have the body-memory of the terrible methods used by the Church to get everyone to believe in their doctrines. A serious consequence is that we in our ‘enlightened’ society send our old to make the journey into the land of the dead with their eyes closed, their hands back-tied, without any guidance what so ever…...

The Tibetans and the Egyptians, however, have their Book of the Dead containing information about the journey the soul is about to enter after it’s parting from the physical body. One could also refer to this book as ‘The Tibetan Book of Birth’. It could also be called ’the Book of Space’, as space contains both birth and death.

eagledrum

An important word in the Tibetan book of the Dead is Bardo which means gap, the in between the worlds. It is not only the interval of suspension after we die but also suspension in the living situation, death happens in the living situation as well. There are all kinds of bardo experiences happening to us all the time, experiences of paranoia and uncertainty in everyday life. It is like not being sure of our ground, not knowing quite what we have asked for or what we are getting into.

The pre-Buddhist Bön civilization of Tibet contained very accurate indications on how to treat the psychic force left behind by a dead person, the footprints or temperature, so to speak, which is left behind when he is gone. It seems that both the Bön tradition and the Egyptian are based on that particular type of experience, how to relate with the footprints, rather than dealing with the person’s consciousness. But the basic principle is that of the uncertainty of sanity and insanity, or confusion and enlightenment, and the possibilities of all sorts of visionary discoveries that happen on the way to sanity or insanity.

So the book is not only a message for those who are going to die and those who are already dead, but it is also a message for those who are already born; birth and death apply to everybody constantly, at this very moment. The texts are based on another way of looking at the psychological picture of ourselves. Nobody is going to save us. Everything is left purely to the individual and how big our commitment is to find out who we really are.

How do we know that these things actually happen to people who are dying? Has anyone come back from the grave and told us the experiences they went through? Those impressions are so strong that someone recently born should have memories of the period between death and birth; but then as we grow up we are indoctrinated by our parents and society, and we put ourselves into a different framework, so that the original deep impressions become faded except for occasional sudden glimpses. Even then we are so suspicious of such experiences, and so afraid of losing any tangible ground in terms of living in this world, that any intangible kind of experience is treated half-heartedly or dismissed altogether. To look at this process from the point of view of what happens when we die seems like the study of a myth; we need some practical experience of this continual process of bardo. Life as we modern people know it creates a  conflict between body and consciousness. If we were to acknowledge that life is a continual experience of death and birth, we would indeed increase our possibility to create peace both within and without.

Practice: The Stone-Spiral Method.
Go to a nice and secluded place in nature, somewhere you’ll feel power emanating. It should be a quite big, open space. Collect some stones, size-wise like small apples. Maybe like 20 stones. Stand in the center of the space. Relax, breathe and center. Pretend you were just born. Start to walk clock-wise in a spiral out from the center. Every circle in the spiral represents a year in your life. One year, two years, three years, try to remember painful experiences along the way, and mark every memory by putting a stone there. When you reach the age you’re in right now, stop, look back and see the spiral you’ve been traveling and see all the stones you laid out. Look for repetitive patterns in your life. What is it that you have to experience again and again, what is the lesson? Try to find a common factor. Look for your own births and deaths. Ask the animal-kingdom, the plant-kingdom and the mineral kingdom for help and assistance. Listen to your Higher Self. Try to find common factors and give the pain away. Write down your conclusions. Make a checklist. Enlightenment = be lighter... ease the burden of guilt. Give thanks for the lesson, and explain to yourself that now you’ve learned your lesson, and that you don’t need further education in these matters. Complete by building a small pyramid with the stones. Give thanks to the place, all your helpers, your wisdom, yourself!
When one has gone through death, one is reborn.

It is done!

Herstoria: the Butterfly Tree

Amulets
True human embraces the gifts and possibilities that are. We are gods and goddesses. Every moment we are creating our reality. We are not only the dreamer, we are also the dream.
Magic is the science of energy. A rose has got its energy, a wolf has got hers/his, a crystal has got its special energy. Everything created is pure energy. Humans are creating and changing matter all the time. There is no limit to how we are able to create things. And by the way, every time we stop and look for something we are interfering, which is a big problem for scientists.

As a shaman apprentice one is on a constant quest
to find out as much as possible about all kinds of different energy that exists. To create amulets is one form of energy-work, which also happens to be ancient. As a student in the noble art of shamanism one is taught about different tradition-carrying amulets shamans call bundles. The bundles have names like: Star-memory-bundle, Dream-bundle, Sorceress-bundle, Soul-bundle, The Higher Self-bundle, and Ancestor-bundle. The making of an amulet sets the intent for ones dreaming, primarily for parts of oneself that is not physical.

Let’s compare with baking. If we want to bake a muffin, for instance, it requires other ingredients than if we decide to bake a pie. The ingredients we choose to mix create the intended outcome. Generation after generation has helped to form different recipes. We who live today benefit from our ancestors knowledge when we use their recipes.

In modern day amulet manufacturing each individual shaman/witch is free to invent/dream hers/his own recipes. Firstly one takes a good look at what it is that needs to be done, that is, the intent, the purpose for making an amulet. Then she/he meditate/dream, on the intent. She/he will then have access to inner images that most probably describes the different ingredients she/he will need to make the amulet. But it can also be useful to have the following knowledge stemming from ancient shaman tradition:

Basic ingredients
The four elements are the building blocks of our reality, so every amulet should contain something from the mineral kingdom/earth element, something from the plant kingdom/water element, something from the animal kingdom/air element, and something from the human kingdom/fire element, to balance the four elements. Thus the amulet itself is well balanced. And on top of those basic ingredients one adds ones personal symbols/ ingredients, depending on the intent with the amulet.

Magic takes time
Time is an important ingredient in all magic work. The more skilled the witch/shaman is, the shorter time it will take to get the wanted result. And talking about time, the time around the full-moon is always an excellent time to make amulets, because then the cosmic energies are most open for magic energy work.

Practice: Make your own power-amulet.
Ingredients: 1 turquoise, 3 feathers, a favorite stone, something from the ocean, something from the animal kingdom, something that remind you of angel – cosmic power, 1 crystal. And three or four symbols/objects of your own individual choice. The collecting together of the ingredients you need can and should take some time. The more effort you put into the preparation, the more powerful the result is going to be. Create a small bag from any cloth of your liking. Make sure to adapt the size of your ingredients so that they all fit into the bag you prepared.
When you have everything you need, it’s time to put them all together.
Take each ingredient separately, hold it to your heart and talk to it. Ask it to assist you to be able to be as strong and loving as possible, in beauty and harmony. Put the ingredients one by one into the bag. To represent the human kingdom, cut a bit from your nails and hair, and put it into the bag. Tie it up.
Now it’s time to awaken and bless your amulet. Take a feather and some incense and brush the amulet of. Then you sing to it. Let the song arise from deep within your belly.
Your amulet is now activated and will do its magic work for you!
(Within six months you will notice a change in the area you asked for, with or without your active help. Even if you put the amulet away, and forget about it, it is still done, and continues to do that which it is programmed to do. )
It is done!

Ceremonies and Rituals
Our ancestors performed a great deal of different ceremonies and rituals. The ceremonies marked the changes of the seasons and created continuity, just like our modern ceremonies like Christmas Eve, Midsummer, Halloween, Easter, and so forth. Ceremonies were also performed to mark the changes in the human development, like baptism, puberty, childbirth, marriage, funeral, etc. Ceremonies are also by tradition performed to communicate with the spirit world, with the ones that were once incarnated as humans, but now reside on the other side. For example the festival of the dead celebrated in Mexico each November.
Ceremonies mirror the basic human needs for continuity.

Rituals and ceremonies are used to heal and balance one-self and ones surroundings. Or to heal and balance someone else and his/her surrounding. (They can also be used to harm oneself or someone else, depending on the performer’s intent. As my shaman teacher Batty Thunder-Bear says: intent is everything.) A large variety of physical symptoms of illness can be cured with rituals. Firstly the cause of the symptom is established, which in most cases stem from repressed negative emotions.

feather

It is through finding the original negative emotion, to see it, feel it, own it, give it room, and then giving it away, that the healing occurs. One is then able to further the healing by replacing the emotion with some physical symbol through the making of a life-doll or an amulet. The healing will then become more powerful.
(If the symptoms are of such kind that public healthcare can help, cooperation in the healing should always be prioritized.)

Remember that according to the shamans each human consists of four bodies, fire/spirit-body, earth/physical -body, water/emotional-body, and air/psyche/thought-body. Our modern healthcare is very good at having knowledge about the physical body. There are surgery and medicine that are excellent. The science of psychology is trying to get to know the psyche, the thought body.

Rituals are medicine for the emotional
and the spiritual body, and aid us in understanding our totality. One gets the tools one need to cure destructive emotions like jealousy, greed, bitterness, hatred, sorrow, envy, that otherwise steels a lot of life-force and makes lots of damage both physically and psychologically. The emotions one otherwise repress and that sooner or later will explode and create these damages one did everything to avoid.

In the world of shamanism one is supposed to look at all ones negative emotions in a safe and secure environment, to be able to defuse the harm they most likely otherwise create.
It’s wise to have patience, and to work on a long-term basis. It can take some years, even decades, to get rid of one’s worst blockages and inhibitions that might have been prevailing since generations of oppression.
Only when we released our inhibitions and blockages enough to be able to conceive ourselves as pure sound and light can we ride the waves of the ecstatic vibrations.

Practice: Every day is a ceremony!
It’s easy to do little rituals in ones everyday life. One way is to give thanks to the Great Mother for the food on ones table. To give thanks to the chicken that is giving it’s life so that my children can grow and become big and strong. To give the birds some left over rice. To dance and sing when one is doing the cleaning up. To be angry when one is angry and to honor oneself for owning such a powerful emotion and yet not doing any harm to anyone with it. A shaman’s intent is to create beauty with every passing moment. Shortly put, to make life an art!
It is done!

Symbols
As expressions for the unknown symbols are the language of the subconscious, that which is not yet known to the conscious mind. Examples of this can be found in dreams, with their ever changing and multilayered symbolic images. Examples can also be found in the ways children are playing their games, a very symbolic activity performed by people not yet fully conscious of their personalities. The symbols are that which in fact makes us human. They represent our ability to leave our conscious, physical condition and relate to another far greater reality.

Our ancestors used the images
of gods and goddesses to embody archetypal abstract energy, like thunder, rain, fire, the sun, the moon, and so on. Astrology is written like most people know with a rich and ancient language of symbols. The tarot-cards are also a symbolic explanation of the archetypes in the universe. Every image is a description of archetypical thoughts/emotions/actions. Thus very wonderful and magical tools for the person who wants to get to know her- him-self in all aspects, the positive as well as the negative.

Symbols are the basic building blocks of communication and understanding. Every word, phrase and sound translates into a picture or symbol in our mind. It is a way we file data. Symbols carry with them specific energies, feelings and charges that are subjectively perceived by each of us, based on our experience with that symbol. They do not necessarily represent the reality of what happens.

A collection of symbols will translate into a thought, that is, our power to reason. Thoughts make our body feel something from the emotions. A collection of thoughts will translate into an idea, which will have a central meaning or purpose. Ideas are experienced in the body. They trigger change and take you from an internal to an external process. Two or three ideas will translate into an image, a completed picture or form, which is a representation of our symbols, thoughts and ideas. What influences our symbolic interpretation the most is our concept of our self, how we view the world and our attachment to our stories created in our childhood.

Let’s presume that
you yourself wrote your script of life, also called the book of karma, while you were still in the spirit-world. It is based on what your soul needs for its next stage of development. You created the environmental context, chose the cast and crew, and planned the action that would best enable this development. This script is based on three key sacred images: life itself, you yourself and you within life. Hence the purpose of life is spiritual alchemy.

Shakespeare said it like this:
all of life is a stage and we are but actors upon it. When we choose to rewrite our script, or our myth, we can become the hero or heroine of our own lives.

Think about it, in this day and age we have an absence of real heroes and heroines. Perhaps it is time for you to become the hero/heroine in your life’s story. As we heal and balance by shifting all of our mythologies, symbols, daydreams, rules and laws, philosophies, designs of energy, fantasies and concepts of self into the light, we move from being at the effect and stuck in the Shideh (lower self) to coming into the full power of our Hokkshideh (higher self). Shideh literally translated, means he or she who cannot see. Hokkshideh means him or her who has learned to see.

Knowledge and wisdom builds a bridge from the lower self to the higher self.

Practice:
Ask yourself what the patterns are that you have encoded in your physical body because your perception was limited by the stories told to you in your childhood and that you believe to be true? Ponder the soul-wounds that were created when you were a small child, when and how you lost your emotional balance and control. Move into your heart and listen to the knowledge your body is holding. Take some time to change your energy.
Make notes of what you experience in your diary. Write down everything you consider morally and ethically correct according to the religious and social rules and laws your parents and other childhood teachers taught you. Even if you don’t believe in it anymore, write the stories you were given as truth down. Then make notes of what you believe would happen, or what you were told would happen, if you didn’t obey to these rules. Write down all your fantasies about how and what you would do if you knew you wouldn’t be punished for it.

Now realize these notes are part of your script.
Assume authority for what happens and has happened. Take responsibility for the agreements you have with others and your life process. Step into the power of each moment’s opportunity. You will recognize, accept and change the pattern. You will have the wisdom to know the timing for change and the timing of evolution. This is a movement to a higher level of the script you wrote for yourself in spirit. The communication between your conscious/lower self and your subconscious/higher self can now be crystal clear.
It is done!

Herstoria: The Dragons Tongue

Beltane
The beginning of summer heralds an important time, for the winter is a difficult journey and weariness and disheartenment set in, personally one is tired down to the soul. The drab non-color of winter's end perfectly represents the dullness and fatigue that permeates on so many levels to this day. We need Beltane, as the earth needs the sun, for our very Spirit cries out for the renewal of summer jubilation. Beltane is the last of the three spring fertility festivals, the others being Imbolc and Ostara, and is celebrated 30/4 - 2/5.

Beltane’s counterpart Samhain, 31/10 - 2/11, divides the year into its two primary seasons, winter (Dark Part) and summer (Light Part). As Samhain is about honoring Death, Beltane, its counterpart, is about honoring Life. It is the time when the sun is fully released from his bondage of winter and able to rule over summer and life once again. Beltane, like Samhain, is a time when the veils between the two worlds are at their thinnest.

Beltane translated means "fire of Bel" or "bright fire" - the "bale-fire". Bel is known as the bright and shining one, a Celtic Sun God. He is the father, protector, and the husband of the Mother Goddess. The Bel fire is a sacred fire with healing and purifying powers. The fires further celebrate the return of life, fruitfulness to the earth and the burning away of winter.

At Beltane, we open to the God and Goddess of Youth. However old we are, spring makes us feel young again, and at Beltane we jump over the fires of vitality and youth and allow that vitality to enliven and heal us. When young we might use this time as an opportunity to connect to our sensuality in a positive creative way, and when older the mating that we seek might well be one of the feminine and masculine sides of our nature. Integration of the male and female aspects of the Self has long been seen as one of the prime goals of spiritual and psychotherapeutic work, and Beltane represents the time when we can open to this work fully, allowing the natural union of polarities that occurs in nature at this time the opportunity to help us in our work - a work that is essentially alchemical.

It is the child's unrestrained expression of bliss and delight that is what Beltane is all about. It is the sheer joy of running through fields, picking flowers, rapturing in the sunlight, delighting in the fragrance of spring, dancing in the fresh dew covered grass. Our children guide us through the natural abandonment of our adult sensibilities and show us how to take grand pleasure, warmth and bliss from the gift of Beltane.

The dew on an early May morning is believed to have a magical potency – if one washes ones face and body in it one will remain fair all year, and guarantee ones youth and beauty to continue.

It is also the time when the Faeries return from their winter respite, carefree and full of faery mischief and faery delight. Food and drink are traditionally left on doorsteps for the Faeries as an offering, in hope of faery blessings. Legend has it that if you sit beneath a tree on Beltane night, you may see the Faery Queen or hear the sound of Her horse's bells as She rides through the night. Legend says if you hide your face, She will pass you by but if you look at Her, She may choose you.

There are six different forms of fire: The fire from grandfather son, the fire that lives in the belly of grandmother earth, the magma, the fire that comes from thunder, the fire is the lava that creates the stone people, the fire that burns wood, the fire within each of us, the inner fire, our life-force and our spontaneity.

Practise:
At dawn, go to a place where you can see the sun rise. According to many magical traditions the first morning rays from the sun are considered to be as refreshing as a whole nights sleep. Be prepared, and let the morning sunrays caress your face, your skin. Feel the miracle of life, whatever happens, the sun will always rise.
Sacred fire within, home of the eternal flame, please burn away all our restrictions and blockages. In the name of the Great Mystery, teach us warmth and goodness. The love of Grandmother/Grandfather Sun melts away all our differences, until we are truly becoming one.

The Abandoned Child Syndrome
We humans are the heart and the emotions in the body of the Great Spirit.
The inner child-aspect carries the greatest potential
for experiencing joy and pleasure, yet a lot of our experiences in physical form contain suffering, darkness and pain. This comes as a result of upbringing and layer on layer of armor created when society/parents tries to mold a child into something completely contrary to what it really is. The child is not allowed to experience the pleasure of its true being. If you take a couple of moments to think back to your own childhood you’re bound to find examples of how this works. As a result we as a collective energy are stuck in the level of two-legged animals, without ever reaching the level of maturity and self-growth that we were born with the capacity to reach.

When we observe a child,
we can see how lively and unexhausted this child is moving around. The life energy is flowing freely through the seven big chakras. The smaller the child, the more it’s beaming with energy. As time goes by, and the little one grows up, the radiant being is exposed to different kinds of infringements. Every insult, every sarcasm, every violation, gets stuck as a lump in the natural flow of energy. So successively the energy movement slows, and the child’s original creativity, ability to act, and capability of taking initiative, gets more and more paralyzed.

Blommande

The school system doesn’t make it any easier for the children, as the main issue in modern education is to teach the child how to sit still, listen, to do well on the tests, and to accept the laws given by authority as unchangeable and totalitarian. As a teenager in the western culture one is already deadly tired by the very thought to drag oneself out of bed early in the morning to go to the mentally straining and stressful school environment. People all around in society are getting more and more tired.

The Grandmothers of the Hopi Nation says that one of the great illnesses right now is apathy. Lots of people finds it more and more difficult to raise enough energy to do anything besides keeping ones daily work afloat

One of the major reasons for this overwhelming tiredness could be
the abandoned child syndrome. A whole lot of people carry within them a deeply seated feeling of abandonment, which is creating a whole lot of symptoms of physical and mental decease. The very construction of society is extremely stressful for the relationships between parents and children which leaves a tail of, if not physical so emotionally, abandoned children.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. To be able to transform ourselves into the powerful person we really are, we need to give time and consideration to our personal energy.

We can actively be part of cleaning and healing our energy body. And eventually, with time, we can create enough personal energy to take our part in changing the collective construction that creates the problem in the first place.

Every human being is micro-cosmos in macro-cosmos
. Everything that exists in the outer reality also exists within each and every one of us. The shaman sees people as shining eggs. Every human egg has the sun, the moon and all the stars within them. We humans have the ocean, the earth, the fire, and the air within us. As a matter of fact, we are spaceships, but we have forgotten we are. We believe we are tractors, and on top of that, we have our gear put in reverse.

Practice: To see is to heal. It means that once one is aware of the problem, one can fix it. Meanwhile there is no such thing as a quick fix, no miracle medicine. It is with patience and methodical directed energy work that we can heal ourselves, from within too without. We all carry deep seated trauma, maybe even from earlier lifetimes. Long-term vision is needed, which is totally contrary to the present trends in society, where short-term thinking is promoted and rewarded. The shaman student should remember that the one who swims up streams also gets very strong.

Ceremony to heal the inner child.

Intent: To heal the wounds created through the absence of ceremony to celebrate important changes during life, like the transit from child to grown up, and to create a new beginning.
Take a photo of yourself as a child. Find a tree that welcomes you and that is situated in a place you can frequently visit. Give the tree tobacco or cornflower. Walk around the tree 3 times, and establish a connection with it. Give the tree a hug, and sit down. Talk to the tree about your thoughts, your pain, sorrow, loss, new understanding and the joy your reflections can give you. Give away all negative energy that you might have been holding on to for a long time. Be specific and carry on until you feel cleansed and ready. Tell the tree about your intent to bury your photo and plant your roots here with it. Dig a small but deep hole at the roots of the tree. Bury your photo in the hole. Be aware of your intent. You are about to initiate yourself and to acknowledge the birth of a new you. Thank the tree for its willingness to accept you, to give to you from its wisdom and to provide a place where you can feel your connection to Grandmother Earth.
Visit this tree often, both when you’re happy, and when you’re in the need to balance yourself.
It is done!

Spring Equinox
There are two days each year when the daytime and nighttime hours are approximately equal – each being 12 hours long.
One occurs between March 19 and 21 and is called the Spring or Vernal Equinox, the other is the Fall or Autumnal Equinox in September. The name "equinox" is derived from the Latin aequus (equal) and nox (night).

Modern-day Easter is derived from two ancient traditions: one is the Judeo-Christian and the other the Pagan. Both Christians and Pagans have celebrated death (winter) and resurrection (spring) themes following the Spring Equinox for millennia. Most religious historians believe that many elements of the Christian observance of Easter were derived from earlier Pagan celebrations.
Western Christians celebrate Easter on the Sunday on or after the full moon that follows the nominal date of the Equinox.
Their Easter celebration can occur many weeks after the spring solstice.

Monotheistic religions
, like Judaism, Christianity and Islam, tend to view time as linear. Time starts with creation; the world as we know it will end at some time in the future. Aboriginal and Neo-pagan religions see time as circular and repetitive, with lunar (monthly) and solar (yearly) cycles. The rituals guarantee the continuity of nature's cycles, which traditional human societies depended on for their sustenance.

The rituals at the Spring Equinox are related primarily to the fertility of the crops and to the balance of the day and night times. Some Pagans call the first day of spring, the vernal equinox, Ostara. It is a day for all to celebrate longer daylight hours, the returning warmth and the start of planting. The lethargy of winter is dissipating and there is the promise of life becoming more exuberant. Soon, the fields will be green. The leaves will return to the trees, flowers will bloom and seeds will be sown for the harvesting. It is a time of new beginnings. Animals stir and create new generations. The world feels a sense of rebirth.

Origins of the name "Easter": Eostre was the Great Mother Goddess of the Saxon people in Northern Europe and the Saxon version of the Germanic lunar goddess Ostara. She gave her name to the Christian Easter and to the female hormone estrogen. Her feast day was held on the full moon following the vernal equinox -- almost the identical calculation as for the Christian Easter in the west.

One delightful legend associated with Eostre is that she found an injured bird on the ground one winter. To save its life, she transformed it into a hare. But the transformation was not a complete one. The bird took the appearance of a hare but retained the ability to lay eggs. .. The hare would decorate these eggs and leave them as gifts to Eostre. So the Easter bunny is a reminder of the ancient symbol of Eostre.

Similar Goddesses were known
by other names in ancient cultures around the Mediterranean, and were celebrated in the springtime: Aphrodite from ancient Cyprus, Ashtoreth from ancient Israel, Astarte from ancient Greece and the Nordic countries, Demeter from Mycenae, Hathor from ancient Egypt, Ishtar from Assyria, Kali from India, the Scandinavian sun Goddess Sunna, and Ostara, a Norse Goddess of fertility.

The indigenous Mayan people in Central American have celebrated a spring equinox festival for as long as they can remember. As the sun sets on the day of the equinox on the great ceremonial pyramid, El Castillo, Mexico, its western face is bathed in the late afternoon sunlight. The lengthening shadows appear to run from the top of the pyramid's northern staircase to the bottom, giving the illusion of a diamond-backed snake in descent. This has been called "The Return of the Sun Serpent" since ancient times.

The Pagan Easter is a wonderful opportunity to mark the renewed fertility of the earth, the rising of the sap and the renewed laying of eggs by birds. Acknowledge and give thanks for the precious gifts of nature. Align yourself with the power of the nature, and sow the seeds for key life projects of the future. Spend as much of the day outside as possible, experiencing the joy of the return of fertility, life and lightness to the land. Decorate your altar with all kinds of spring flowers.

Practice:
In the 1600-century a law was created in Sweden which still exists to this very day. The law was intended to make the magic performed by the Sami people more difficult. This is what became illegal: To converse with a hare, to make a fire after dark, to hug a tree, and to ride on a moose.
So go ahead: talk to a hare, make a fire after dark, hug a tree, and visualize riding on a moose!
It is done!

At Gunpoint: your Money or your Life?
Money is a new form of slavery and distinguishable from the old simply by the fact that it is impersonal, there is no human relation between the master and the slave. Leo Tolstoy.

Extract from the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy:
Far out on the rim in a god forsaken part of our galaxy’s west spiral arm, about 150 million kilometers away, there is a small yellow sun that no one ever took any notice of. Circling around this sun is an even smaller exceptionally insignificant blue-green planet, whose apelike inhabitants are so immensely primitive that they believe digital clocks are something to cheer for. This planet has got a problem: most of its inhabitants are miserable most of the time. Many solutions have been proposed to solve this problem. One person indicated that it would be nice if everybody could be nice to each other for a change, but the people spiked him on a cross, and left him hanging there to bleed to death. Most of the other suggestions had in one way or another to do with the circulation of small green pieces of paper, which was odd, because it wasn’t the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy. This way the problem remained unsolved; many of the inhabitants were mean, the rest to be pitied, including those who owned a digital clock.

The following text is extracted from the book Ragnarök by Åsa Brandberg:
Digits that costs digits.

Artistic freedom, free media, free research, free religious beliefs, freedom of speech, and freedom to come together as a group is favored by most people, and from left to right the importance of equality and a functioning democracy is emphasized. And who doesn’t want to have a free market for products and services fulfilling all our needs? The high ideals we know from the French revolution is still vivid, even if they were never realized. More and more people are beginning to see a connection between the social problems modern society is facing and the destructive way the economy is being handled, but not so many realize how the terms of emission influence the economy and also our disposition regarding it. Let’s therefore examine money and its use in modern society.

Maybe you were taught in school that
the money we borrow from the banks have been put there by someone else? Forget about it! Today over 90% of all money are created out of thin air by private owned banks. The banks supply us with loans in form of digital numbers that have been rented out for other rented numbers that have also been created out of nothing as credit against interest. The interest is strictly a rent we pay for money, in percent per time. That rent is to be paid with other similarly rented money. Therefore the system demands that new money is constantly being created otherwise the pyramid will collapse. The surplus creates a fictive market, where money can be bought for money, leaving poverty to those who don’t have a surplus to invest.

A sustainable economy
preserves the original purpose to administer and allocate on a long term basis. Human and natural resources are to be refined, protected and promote growth in quality of life and conservation of nature. To achieve this we need means of trade that doesn’t reallocate resources – which in turn presupposes a system that hinders that money can be bought for money.

twocoin

Money, what is it? Everything we consider to be money is money. The existence of money is based on a collective agreement, a mental construction. As a non abusive means of trade, money is a genial invention that facilitates multi-part-trading and makes specialization possible. But when issued on fraudulent conditions money lead to a seduction we too seldom see through.

During the ages humans have used all kinds
of things as money – beautiful shells, animals, metals and stamps, for instance. Today’s money however, has no real value, while the old money had double value, as means of trade and as necessities. Then the security lay in the money itself. This came with a confinement, because the access of resources provided a natural limit for how much the market could grow.

In the 1500 century great amounts of stolen
gold had been collected in Europe. Gold then became the means of trade number 1. When you no longer dared to keep your gold at home, you left it with the goldsmith and for that you paid rent. The receipts were then used as means of trade. That’s how the bills came to be, as well as the gold standard. It didn’t take long until the goldsmiths found out that not all gold were redeemed at the same time. Therefore they could issue more receipts than they could cover in pure gold.
That’s the principle for modern banking.

To issue money without coverage has been going on for a long time. Even if the method is deceitful, it has still led to a huge technical development, for good and for bad. Too be able to create new money to sustain the needs of everyday life was in itself a big progress, but the knowledge has not been used for common good but has been abused for exploitation. Little by little power hungry people gained control over the money, and powerful men stamped their portraits on them. The strength and confidence of authorities gave the money the same false appearance. On old Swedish bills you can still read: ’ Hinc robur et securitas ’, that is ‘ here from, strength and security.

In the present system the total amount of debt
is always greater than the total amount of money, because the rented out money keeps going round and round to the issuers while interest is added to interest. Anyone who has counted interest on interest in school also knows that the cost of interest in those cases rapidly increases towards infinity. Therefore constantly growing sums are being issued to push the collapse to the future – all the while the risk for a global ecological collapse is drawing nearer and nearer.

Today a continued industrial expansion
is a threat to our entire planet, because the limit for the natural re-growth has already been passed. The climate changes of the earth will force us to take action, foremost by turn back to money that don’t demands return of investment and economic growth. To talk about durable development is a lie as long as one recommends an economic growth that threatens the finite resources of planet Earth and in extension life itself.

If money couldn’t be made from money, if interest didn’t exist, social maladjustment and the gap between rich and poor would vanish. Also the great political conflicts would evaporate. It would be the very prerequisite for a sustainable peace. As a matter of fact, we as humans do have a chance to leave a world free of debt and a more human civilization to our children and grandchildren. All over the world, ordinary people are working to create a sustainable society on an alternative ground liberated from the prevailing modern money- system of private bankers and their greed. Everywhere people are forming circles of fair trade, of fair consuming, they engage in ecological farming and house-construction. All in the quiet ground-breaking work is being done to create a sustainable economy.

Practice:
Don’t sit at home and feel depressed. See yourself as a brick in a very cynical game. Go out and look for a local network that supports an alternative economy. Invest your energy in the movement towards creating a world without debt.
And while your'e at it, do kind and considerate things for yourself and for others that happens to cross your lifepath, without expecting any economical gratification.
It is done!

Candlemas/Imbolc
Candlemas is the first of three spring festivals, held on February 2nd, the next one will be the Spring Equinox and the third is Beltane. Early February marks the time when winter first begins to lose its power and the light can be seen to increase, thus it is called candlemas, when candles are blessed. The Celtic druids called this early spring feast Imbolc. Imbolc ceremony solicit the return of light and warmth, the beginning of a new season of growth and abundance, planting, fertility and health. The ceremony is also a rite of purification, and homes and barns were cleaned out and blessed, after the dregs of winter.

Celtic tradition concerning family was matrilineal, meaning ancestry was traced through the mother's line rather than the father's. The most important male in your life would be the oldest male kin to your mother, often an uncle. Motherhood demanded the utmost reverence. Rape was a crime of highest severity, subject to the greatest punishments and not pardonable or subject to leniency.

In alignment with this matrilineal tradition,
Imbolc focuses on the Goddess Brigit, originally considered a Triple Goddess, meaning the Maiden, the Mother and the Hag. She was also the Goddess of Fertility and the Patroness of Midwives. As such, she was invoked at the door of the home where the woman was giving birth, by the midwife. She was the guardian of every newborn child, their cradles often protected with a woven Brigit’s Cross

Upon the safe birth of the child, it was blessed by the midwife, with three drops of water on the child’s forehead, dedicating the child in the name of the holy Trinity. Compassion, generosity, hospitality, spinning and weaving, smith work, healing and agriculture ran throughout Brigit's various lives and evolution. Brigit was also associated with holy wells. She had three sons that collectively raised a son, her grandchild, named Ecne, which means knowledge.

Amongst her power animals were two magical oxen.  In Celtic society, cattle were the most highly valued of all animals, revered as symbols of plenty. By Imbolc these animals would have birthed their young and their milk would be flowing. Milk, to the Celts, was sacred food due to its purity and nourishment. Mother’s milk was especially valuable, having curative powers. The cow was symbolic of the sacredness of motherhood, the life-force sustained and nourished, as was the sacred cow Audhumbla in the Nordic mythology, not to mention the holy cows of India.

Brigit’s stories retain remnants of other Goddesses from the ancient worlds. Some of her symbols are identical to the Egyptian Goddess, Isis.
Her embroidery tools, which are also Minerva’s symbols, were preserved at the chapel at Glastonbury, along with her bag and her bell, symbolic of healing. Her colors - white, black and red - are those of Kali and show an ancient connection there.

Brigit is also associated with the cockerel, the herald of the new day and the snake, symbol of regeneration. She is often portrayed holding a white snake staff. In this way she is related to other fertility Goddesses, many of whom were also shown holding snakes and she shares with Minerva the shield, spear and crown of serpents. Serpents are also a common theme in Celtic jewelry. Another animal associated with the Feast of Brigit is raven, because it is the first bird to nest in the Highlands, around the beginning of February. “Cuirear fitheach chon na nide”, (the raven goes to prepare his nest.)

In keeping with the policy of the Catholic Church
to subsume pagan festivals into Christian feast-days, the Day of Bride became equated with Candlemas on February 2nd, and was called the feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The Triple Goddess was replaced by another Trinity, but the Old Ways lingered in worship. Brigit’s role as Mother Goddess was never completely eradicated as she managed to take on the part as a Catholic saint.
As Saint Brigit, she is portrayed as a goddess with rays of sunlight coming from her head. Themes of milk, fire, sun and serpents followed her on this path, adding to her ever-growing popularity among Catholics. One Christian myth tells that Saint Brigit was the midwife of Mary, bringing Christ into the world.

Finally, the festival of the growing light can be traced to modern America in the Groundhog Day custom on February 2.
If the groundhog sees his shadow on this morning, it means there will be six more weeks of winter.
In Scotland an old couplet goes: If Candlemas Day is bright and clear, there'll be two winters in the year.

Practice: Spring cleaning comes from the habit of Imbolc to get rid of unwanted clutter and to prepare for the new season, both physically and mentally. Now is the time to clean the house as well as the head, finish old selfdestructive habits, make a fresh start, and realize that the world is full of exciting new opportunities.  Imbolc is considered a traditional healing time and it is a good time to find ways to improve your health.
It is done!

Ancient Aliens
Science and religion might have more in common that the popular perception suggests. On one hand we have science that deals with reason and facts, on the other hand we’ve got religion that deals with faith. Science is an evolving proposition, and what we know today will most certainly be reformed and even replaced at some point in the future. So to think that science somehow provides the truth in contrast to religion is probably a mistake. While both scientists and religious leaders may still ponder the notion of aliens visiting the earth, another scientific theory starts to take on substance, namely the ancient astronaut theory, which states that evidence that aliens visited earth civilizations in the remote past and were worshiped as Gods exist in plain sight all around the world.

As evidence these theorist’s points
at enigmatic drawings and carvings found across the world, and they also sight as evidence the amazing similarities between isolated cultures all over the planet. Different civilizations built immense megalithic structures like pyramids and temples to honor other worldly beings. And in practically all ancient scriptures stories are included about sky Gods descending to our ancestor’s time, the core is that extra terrestrials came here, and that was the beginning of all big religions.

The story of reptilian Gods from
the heavens creating man can in fact be found in most every region of our planet. According to the ancient Sumerian texts, the Sumerians were visited by the Annunaki, a reptilian race of Gods which came to earth in fire ships from their home-planet Niburu. In Japan emperors claimed to descend from Dragon Gods who came from the sky. Australian aborigines teach of a reptilian race which lives underneath the earth and governs over man, and they believe they are descendants from a race of dragon humans. Chinese mythology teaches that the Serpent Queen Nu Kua interbred with man.

In India these reptilian gods are called Nagas, and it is believed that they seeded the royal families, and the royal kings of Africa claim that they are descendants from Serpent Gods who came from the sky. In South America the Mayans teach that their ancestors were the people of the Serpent, Aztecs were said to have been created by a Serpent woman. In America the Hopi Indians believe that sky gods came to breed with their women and refer to them as their Snake Brothers. Many ancient texts refer to men flying in the sky, and the ancient Egyptians, Hopi Indians, and the Dogon tribe of North Africa, all believe their ancestors came from what we know as the constellation of Sirius. If the extra terrestrials wanted to leave behind a message of where they came from then it would serve them very well to build those structures with a reference to their location of origin. The ancient texts are very clear, that many of our achievements in the past are due to a direct intervention of extraterrestrials that arrived from the skies.

Shamans have been documenting and reporting
for tens of thousands of years that we are in contact with entities and beings that are not of this earth. According to Sweet Medicine there are twelve magical worlds, twelve planets with human life in our part of the galaxy, Earth being one of them. Earth is called Sskawnasie, the planet of the Children. Our planet is forming a triangle with Sirius, the planet of Dreamers, and the Pleiades, the planet of the Ancestors..

A prophesy by Hopi Ruby Morning Star: The human experience of being isolated in cosmos will soon come to an end.
We as the earth family are currently in the process of reconnecting to our brothers and sisters living on the other eleven planets out there in the vast space surrounding us....................

Spiritual medicine-men and -women from different Indian tribes,
Lakota, Oglala, Dakota, Blackfoot, Iroqui, Oneda, Seneca, Choctaw, Hopi, Yaqui , as well as a Maori-shaman from New Zeeland and a female representative from the same-people, gathered in June 1996 in South Dakota. The arrangement was called Star Knowledge Conference and Sundance.
They gathered because they had observed signs of ancient prophesies coming alive. These signs informed them that now was the time to speak openly about their most secret knowledge. According to this knowledge they come from the stars, and the visitors from the stars have affected the formation of their culture, spiritual life and ceremonies. These Starpeople will in a near future return to earth. The leader of the Indians, Standing Elk, says that the Indian people have inherited knowledge from the Starpeople, and have many stories of close encounters, and that it is time to reveal their messages and prophesies to the people of Earth.

If we are too quick to discard the possibility
that humans were visited by extra terrestrials in the distant past, we might be shutting ourselves out from something that might be really fascinating and that might take us to a next level that we can’t even imagine. If this theory was accepted we would have to change our beliefs, knowledge, our history, and the very beginning of human civilization.

Practice
:
Turn towards the night sky, and choose one star that is shining especially bright. The rays of light emanating from the star create a link between you and the star. Travel on the beam of light up to the star. Open your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual senses to receive its beauty and energy. Imagine yourself as a shining star, pure as crystal. Bring this feeling with you back down to earth and into your physical body. Let your whole world be filled with this light.
It is done!

Reincarnation
There are thousands of documented cases of reincarnation, but not one of heaven or hell.’ Quote Harley SwiftDeer.
In all times people have been pondering the question if there is life after death.
Reincarnation is a living reality for billions of people all over the globe, and a ground pillar in two of the world’s great religions, Hindu and Buddhism. According to the reincarnation theory life continues in incessantly new forms until the final goal is reached, to become one with the god-force, to be an enlightened master, an avatar.

In the old times reincarnation was part of people’s belief-systems all over Asia, Africa, America, Australia and Europe.
500 years before Christ a Greek named Pindaros stated that the soul is gradually cleansed through its reincarnating different and constantly new bodies. Reincarnation was taken seriously by all Gnostic sects and was also for several hundred years a part of the Christian religion. Christian church-fathers, who had their roots in the Greek culture, believed in reincarnation. But the concept of reincarnation in Christianity was forbidden in the 300-century on a church-meeting in Constantinople. The prohibition was formulated something like this: ‘Each and everyone that supports the mystical theory of reincarnation and its consequences, karma, or the law of what you saw you will reap, shall be forever condemned, and will burn in hell.’

Medieval monks succeeded with the impossible mission to ban the reincarnation theory.
And what is really strange is that this dogma is still holding a tight grip on the western society after more than 1500 years,
and that it is taken seriously even in our enlightened age.
One might ask oneself why it was so important for the church to ban something that didn’t only collide with their own roots, the belief-system of the church fathers, but also colliding with thousands of year’s belief-system in all parts of the world ?

One hypothesis is that it was easier for the church to impose its power and rule over people through threats of eternal pain and damnation after this only life people were left with after the church’s decision to ban the reincarnation theory, and attract with their promises of pleasures in heaven for everybody who followed the rules put up by the priests without argument or any other fuzz, than to let the people themselves take full responsibility over their lives and actions.

Karma and reincarnation are two sides of the same coin.
Karma means that what we saw we will reap, in the sense of our thoughts, feelings, attitudes, words and deeds in this and/or in an upcoming incarnation. It is important to understand that the law of Karma always wants the best for us. It constantly offers new possibilities of growth, insight and maturity. It’s a mistake to believe that Karma is all about retaliation and punishment for previous sins. The opposite that we are to enjoy the consequences of elevated thoughts and unselfish behavior is as true.

The law of Karma makes sure we get the adventures
and experiences that we need to overcome weaknesses and to develop new abilities. Karma-creating factors are mainly thoughts, feelings and wishes, but also words and deeds. The thoughts are the most important because everything else is born from them. Words and deeds are materialized thoughts. Our entire past lives within us. Every course of event in our present life is a result from the many series of events both from the history of the present life as well as from previous incarnations.

Every human who has the courage to think these thoughts through will realize that the influence of the past is much wider and deeper than we could ever imagine. The knowledge of the law of Karma leads to the experience of true love to all that is alive. The thoughts we’re thinking today will forever influence our future destiny.

Reincarnation is also one of the ground pillars in shamanism,
where the belief is that it’s through the cycles of incarnations that we human souls get experience, knowledge and wisdom. When one has completed one cycle one is ready to move on to the next life, the next world. According to the teachings of Sweet Medicine, each human being incarnate on planet Earth at least 2500 times. In one life one is a thief, and in the next one the police. In one life one experience being penniless, in another the experience is to be super rich. All forms are to be experienced, tall, short, fat, skinny, man, woman. Positive – negative, addition –subtraction. All experiences count, good and bad equally. The soul is moving in constant evolution. My shaman teacher says that it is very important for the shaman apprentice to concentrate a lot of energy in remembering previous lives, and especially all different ways of death one has experienced. The intent is to stop being afraid of death, to see through the illusion of the very existence of death.

From Carlos Castaneda, Tales of Power:
There is nothing in this world that a warrior can’t explain. A warrior sees him/herself as already dead, you see, alas, he/she has nothing to lose. The worst has already happened, so therefore he/she is calm and centered. If you were to judge from his/her words and deeds you could never phantom that he/she has witnessed it all.

Practice:
Grandfather TwoBear: -' Sometime, in some way, each and every one of us will live nine lives as an enlightened master, an avatar.’ SwiftDeer asked Grandfather TwoBear how one could know in which life one was enlightened. Grandfather answered: ‘Act as if it was this life here and now. Use controlled folly, and live each moment as if you were an enlightened human!’
’Hey, guardian of ancient wisdom! Whisper your knowledge to me, so that I will always remember that life is a sacred mystery. The cycles and the seasons mark every change. The rebirth of our visions makes us reclaim our sacred origins. The truth will emerge victorious from the war that is fought within us, and eventually bring joy to every human heart.
It is done!

Soothsayers and Predictions
In most societies throughout the ages, people have been trying to understand the hidden logic in that which is happening, and to establish a connection and cooperation with the forces that exists in the deeper levels of the universe. The earliest soothsayers had no books to read with comments and explanations. They listened to the voices of the wind and the fire, to the heart rhythm of the drum. They could read the future in fish-intestines, bones, seashells, in the movement of the animals. The ancient seers conjured their even more ancient ancestors, especially earlier masters of the same divination system, to connect with their minds and knowledge.

In Nordic mythology the great Mother Goddess Hel had three daughters, Urd, Verdandi and Skuld. They were sitting at the root of Yggdrasil, weaving the human weave of life, with the power to decide who was to live and who was to die. Shakespeare picked up on this myth in his drama Macbeth. In pre-historic time the Nordic soothsayers were called valor. The people invited these soothsayers to come and tell them about the future. Through them the people got answers to their various questions about life and death, love and health. Our Nordic valor’s behavior is well coordinated with the Asian shamans.

The Romans assumed that the gods gave signs in forms of coincidences, dreams and unusual natural phenomena. The more dramatic the sign, the more important it was to interpret them correctly. The Roman people believed one could read the divine will through predictions, and they sought guidance from the Sibyl Books, the author originally a great Seer, that were kept in a vault under the temple of Apollo.

In Japan during the age of the Emperors, a third of Japans government officials at the ministry of religion, Jingikan, were from the department of prophesy. Their job was to read the patterns of coincidences and from their conclusions thereof give the Emperor advice. They had many methods to collect divine signs from the world, amongst which heating a shell from a turtle and read the possible outcome from the cracks that was formed. The Japanese word for scrying is Ura or uranai, which means coming into contact with ‘that which is behind’. The basic thought is that one takes a peak behind the veil that separates the visible world from that which exists on a deeper level.

The Chinese oracle known as the I Ching
was probably invented by some ancient seers several thousands of years ago. It is still holding a front position as one of the former systems for divination. A new collection of the texts was the bestselling book in one of Peking’s largest bookstores in spring -05.

Great leaders of state
all over the world, kings, queens, and presidents, have historically had the custom of visiting oracles, clairvoyant men and woman, at certain points in their carriers, to ask for advice.

Napoleon, for instance, had a close relationship with a medium by the name Lénormand. And we all know the historic importance of psychics like Jeanne d’Arc, and the Swedish saint, Birgitta. Even the Swedish king can now be said to follow that custom.
The following text was published in the Icelandic daily paper Fréttabladet Tuesday 7/9 -10:

Icelandic fortuneteller gave the Swedish king Carl XVI Gustav a reading.

King Carl XVI Gustav did not only go swimming, fishing, and had a closer look at Eyjafjallajökull during his holiday trip to Iceland. He also met with the famous fortuneteller Sigríður Klingenberg, who is the queen amongst Icelandic seers. The conversation took place in the light of the full moon, and is told to have been so successful that the king wanted another audience the following day to continue the discussion.
(The icelandic word for computor is tölva, which is a so called telescope word created by the word töl, that means number, and völva, the old Nordic word for fortuneteller.)

Practice:
The simplest way of getting an answer to any question is to voice the question straight out into the air.  (It’s also the easiest way to find lost things. If you speak out loud and say for instance: ’where did I put the scissors’, or whatever it might be, or, ’where are the scissors’, you’ll bound to find whatever you’re looking for shortly afterwards.)
It is sacred law that if there is a question, there is also an answer. All you have to do is to ask the question right out into the universe, and the answer will automatically arrive. Another way is to ask your inner seer to come forth and answer your question. Sometimes it can take some time for the answer to show up, so as in dealing with all kind of magic, you have to be patient.
And
you have to keep awake and alert to receive the answer whenever it may pop up. And where, it chooses to show up, for that matter. The answer can come through a conversation you involuntarily listens to when you’re sitting on a bus or the subway, something you read in a magazine or a book, through a child’s comments. One never knows when or how, and that’s where the Great Mystery comes into play…..
It’s traditional to foresee the coming year on New Year’s Eve.
So go ahead and play with tarot-cards, runes, I-Ching, any divination tools you have available. And/or, before you go to bed, you could ask your inner dream-seer to come visit you in your dreams, and ask for a dream that will include something from your future. Ask for a healing, inspiring and loving dream.
It is done!

Herstoria: And the wind whispered: Ruussskiiii……

Winter Solstice/Yule
At noontime in the Northern Hemisphere the sun appears high in the sky during summertime and low in the sky during winter. The time of the year when the sun reaches its maximum elevation occurs on the day with the greatest number of daylight hours. This is called the summer solstice, and is typically on June 21 in the Northern Hemisphere. The lowest elevation occurs about December 21 and is the winter solstice - when the night time hours are maximal. This is reversed in the Southern Hemisphere. "Solstice" is derived from two Latin words: "sol" meaning sun, and "sistere," to cause to stand still.

In ancient Rome people celebrated Saturnalia,
a festival for Saturn that covered a full week, December 17 to 23.  By the third century there were many religions and spiritual mysteries being followed within the Roman Empire. Many, if not most, celebrated the birth of their god-man near the time of the solstice. Emperor Aurelian (270 to 275) blended a number of Pagan solstice celebrations of the nativity of such god-men/saviors as Apollo, Attis, Baal, Dionysus, Helios, Hercules, Horus, Mithra, Osiris, Perseus, and Theseus into a single festival called the "Birthday of the Unconquered Sun" on December 25’th.

Gradually
almost the entire Christian Church agreed to that date to celebrate the birth of their god-son Jesus, which coincided with Winter Solstice, the Yule and the Saturnalia. By 11th century Christmas was the peak celebration of the year for all of Europe. During the 16th century, under the influence of the Reformation, many of the old customs were suppressed and the Church forbade processions, colorful ceremonies, and plays.

solen

In pagan Scandinavia the winter festival was called the yule (or juul). Much celebration was to be had as the ancestors awaited the rebirth of the Oak King, the Sun King, the Giver of Life, who warmed the frozen Earth Mother and made her to bear forth from seeds protected through the fall and winter in her womb. Bonfires were lit in the fields, and crops and trees were "wassailed" with toasts of spiced cider.

Mistletoe was sacred
because it mysteriously grew on the most sacred tree, the oak. It was ceremoniously cut and a spray given to each family, to be hung in the doorways as good luck. The Celtic Druids also regarded mistletoe as sacred. Druid priests cut it from the tree on which it grew with a golden sickle and handed it to the people, calling it All-Heal. To hang it over a doorway or in a room was to offer goodwill to visitors. Kissing under the mistletoe was a pledge of friendship. Mistletoe is still forbidden in most Christian churches because of its Pagan associations, but has continued to have a special place in home celebrations.

Other plants associated with Yule:
Bayberry - good fortune and wealth. Holly - winter magic, everlasting life, protects against negativity. Ivy represents immortality. Mistletoe - fertility, healing, protection. Pine Cones symbolizes endurance, longevity. Ginger represents love, wealth, success, power. Myrrh - protection, purification. Nutmeg – clairvoyance. Rosemary - love, purification, protection, intellectualism. Saffron - healing, clairvoyance and purification. Wintergreen - healing, breaking hexes and protection.

Mother Goddesses associated with winter: Hel, Isis, Demeter, Gaya, Diana, Skade. The best known Celtic Mother Goddess would be Dagda, and Brighid, the daughter of Dagda. Brighid taught the smiths the arts of fire tending and the secrets of metal work. Brighid's flame, like the flame of the new light, pierces the darkness of the spirit and mind, while the Dagda's cauldron assures that Nature will always provide for all the children.

Christmas is the birthday not only of the sun, but of all new life, all babies. All children, sons and daughters alike, are to be honored as sacred children. As Maria Montessori states in her book, ‘the Secret of Childhood’, all children are Jesus. Quote: ‘If and when you turn away a three year old child that comes to your bedroom at four a clock in the morning and wants to sleep in your bed, it is Jesus himself you turn away.’

Practice: Celebrate the Birthday of the Unconquered Inner Sun
Celebrate the resurrection of life, of light coming back, birthed from the darkness. Visualize the sun rising in your heart chakra. Feel the sacred heat spreading in every part of your body, revitalizing, energizing you. Give honor to the sacred child residing within your heart. Then give your inner child a gift, something you know will please her/him. The gift can be a simple game, like going outdoors into the snow and build a snow-lantern.
It is done!

Practice: To integrate the Twenty:
Read the Twenty Count out loud, and visualize that you invite all those powers into your heart, then something very healing starts to happen deep inside of you. Rather than seeing the Twenty as something out there, because it’s not, it’s inside of each and every one of us humans, and that’s what I want you to connect to, because it does something wonderfully magical with you. It helps you to understand your part of being the solution instead of the problem in the universe and on the planet. Harley Swift-Deer, 1989.
It is done!

Herstoria: But I know the Twenty-Count by now!

Twenty Count - Presentation
The Twenty Count is a way to
perceive the specific attributes and gifts the sacred powers in the Universe can offer, and relate them to number 1 – 20. This offers a valuable numerology system that explains the connection between the powers and forms a basic for all Sun Dance teachings.
This Twenty Count is an excellent cosmology that doesn’t require any faith or belief on your part. Each person is an intricate part of it. You can see and experience it every day. This leads to what we call felt knowledge, the only true knowledge there is. A person is capable of perceiving only that which is of him/herself, he/she must have a connection to it. Therefore, it is our responsibility to establish a connection to, an alignment with, and open communication within each of these movements of energy in order to find our own completeness.
All things have a vibratory energy, an essence, a form.
The energy in motion of one thing is interconnected with and directly influences and is felt by every other thing. Breath, light, life, matter, form, time, space and dimensions are not different things.

universe

We human determiners must realize the power and potential power inherent in our connection to all things. Evolution means that a form is in a constant process of seeking perfection within its form.

The numbers of the Twenty Count are not actually numbers.

They are ‘powers’, vibratory energy sources that vibrate at the energy level of a certain number. The powers also represent the realm of the ‘tonal’ and ‘nagual’. The Tonal world is the third dimensional physical, material world, which we identify as the ‘real’ world of our everyday life. It is represented by the powers 1-10 and referred to as ‘so below’. The Nagual is the world of spirit, of our true spirit personalities, the fifth dimension and the dreamscape. It is represented by the numbers 11-20 and is referred to as the ‘as above’.

The Elders also say that the Twenty Count is genetically encoded within us, that in fact, we are a cell in the Great Spirit’s body. The knowledge you are about to learn is already in your genetic memory. We need only to access it by waking up our memory. This is done by studying and learning the Twenty Count. The Twenty Count and all of nature have only positive attraction and impact because everything is in perfect balance and alignment. Each ‘power’ has a quality of empowerment and exists within its own dominion. That is, it will not and cannot control or be controlled. It is co-existent and co-empowering with all other things. This means that between you and the powers of the Twenty Count there exists an individuality and autonomy within, which there is also tolerance.

All of Nature inherently empower, it is only man who is the variable here. Because of our free will, we separate, alienate and involve ourselves in a war of dominion in our interaction with self, life and others. The dilemma always for us humans is creating vs destruction for destruction’s sake. When we learn always to walk with the Twenty Count inside, ie, live in the perfect balance of nature, we will make positive impact on the planet.

Practice:
The Twenty Count has only one task:
to give away their power to us in an act of empowerment.
And you can give back your respect, keep a proper attitude and express your appreciation for Natures gift.
Without the sun there would be no life. Stop complaining about how hot or cold it is. Stop referring to a cloudy day as a bad day. All the faces of the sun are a mirror reflection for us. It is in this way we learn to come into balance and alignment with the powers of the universe. In is in this way we step into co-empowerment with all of creation.
The Elders invite you to learn about and become the Twenty Great Powers of the universe as we begin the song of the 20.
No matter what we talk about, we are talking about ourselves.’ Hugh Prather.’

Say out loud:

I am Wakan Tanka, I am the Great Spirit, I am Wah-Kawhuan, the creatress, the Great Grandmother, and Sskawhuan, the Creator, the Great Grandfather. I am the universal force and the universal law. I am the sphere of pure orgiastic light of love and awareness, I am the Great Spirit!

It is done!

Herstoria: All you have to do is learn how to count to twenty!

The Boomerang effect
The four universal laws: 1: The harmonious law of energy, minimal effort for maximal result.
2:
Everything is born from the female form. 3: Nothing shall be done to harm the children.
4:
0 – 9 law for all of creation. Life gives movement gives death gives rebirth gives life…..
Wheels or circles have been used by indigenous people since the beginnings of time in teachings of the laws of the universe. Nothing is considered being linear, the idea itself is considered an illusion. There is no beginning and no end. Change of the condition of energy references is all there is.

To be born in a physical body is not the beginning of life (spirit lives forever), it’s but a change of viewpoint through which the spirit experiences itself as living. It’s simply a movement on the wheel of life. Even the western scientist’s has come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as a straight line. Sooner or later all straight lines start to bend, to find its way back to its original starting place.
The fourth law 0 – 9
means that all we give out sooner or later will come back to us, and is also known as the boomerang effect.

This can be illustrated by the classical tale of a group of people sitting in a circle, and one starts to give the next person either a kiss or a slap in the face. Then the kiss or the slap moves around the circle of people, and eventually the person who started the movement will get either or back, depending on which one, kiss or slap, he’d choose to give out in the first place. In real life it can take months, years, even lifetimes, before the initiating movement one did comes back to oneself.

As a witch/shaman
it’s very important to be aware of what one is giving out. A medicine-person is always in the beginning of the circle. Everything she/he gives out should preferably be according to the sacred law that nothing shall be done to harm the children. And the children are all the children of Mother Earth, the plants, the minerals, the water, the air, the animals and the humans. All of us are children of the Great Mother.

The Goddess,
the Great Mother, is being reborn in our modern time. All humans are connected with the original womb. Some of us feel particularly strong that we want to take part of the shaman knowledge, we feel a calling. A young person who feels a strong pull towards shamanism/witchcraft has often been a shaman/witch in several previous incarnations. The inquisition might have killed off a lot of people with knowledge of the old religion, but as time goes by, a lot of souls are being reborn, and the ancient knowledge of everything’s connectedness is being remembered and updated.

The path one’s on is born from within the heart, a light that comes out of the darkness. In the heart there are secrets that serve like good food which gives nutrition. Words are also born in the heart, words capable of great lies as well as great truths. Words are tremendously powerful and important and are magical properties of whoever has them.

Practice: Star Magic
Visualization: Look upon a star, se the ray of light that comes from the star towards you. Travel on that beam of light to the star. Open up your whole physical and spiritual sense and receive its beauty and energy. Inhale the light from the star to a deep place within, and visualize yourself as a shining star or crystal. Fill your whole being with the light from the star.
Meditation: Meditate on a crystal, a very ancient part of the earth. Crystals are excellent receivers and transmitters of energy. Superior to use for clear communication (TV, radio and computers are made from flowing crystal.) Hold a crystal in your hand, and let it speak to you. Look within it, and ponder its mystery. Ask it to help you to use your words in a loving way. Direct your prayers to the Great Spirit through the crystal and give thanks to the indigenous people that were the first to live in your specific country. Maybe the spirit ancestors will come to you….
 It is done!

Herstoria: Everything you give out.......

Halloween/Samhain
Samhain means ‘end of summer’, and is generally considered the Witch's New Year, one of the two ‘spirit-nights’each year, the other being Beltane. It is a magical interval when the mundane laws of time and space are temporarily suspended, and the thin veil between the worlds is lifted. Communicating with ancestors and departed loved ones comes naturally at this time. Originally the ‘Feast of the Dead’ was celebrated in Celtic countries by leaving food offerings on altars and doorsteps for the "wandering dead". Extra chairs were set to the table and around the hearth for the unseen guest. Bonfires were built, originally called bone-fires, for after feasting, the bones were thrown in the fire as offerings for healthy and plentiful livestock in the New Year. Hearth fires were also lit from the village bonfire to ensure unity, and the ashes were spread over the harvested fields to protect and bless the land.
Pagan Halloween symbol’s includes black cats, snakes, spiders, bats, ravens, ghosts, skulls, skeletons. These all symbolize magic, transformation, and mortality.

All around the world people are honoring their dead:
In Hong Kong Halloween is known as "Yue Lan", or the Festival of the Hungry Ghosts. Some people burn pictures of fruit or money at this time, believing these images would reach the spirit world and bring comfort to the ghosts. In Mexico, Halloween is known as ‘El Dia de los Muertos’, and is a three-day celebration that begins on the evening of October 31 until November 2. Many families construct an altar in their home and decorate it with candy, flowers, photographs, fresh water and samples of the deceased's favorite foods and drinks. Candles and incense are burned to help the departed find his or her way home. As in Sweden, relatives tidy the gravesites of deceased family members, including snipping weeds, making repairs and painting. The grave is then adorned with flowers, wreaths or paper streamers. In China, the Halloween festival is known as Teng Chieh. Food and water are placed in front of photographs of family members who have departed while bonfires and lanterns are lit in order to light the paths of the spirits as they travel the earth on Halloween night. In Scotland, a child born at Samhain was said to be gifted with shealladh, commonly known as “second sight,” or clairvoyance.

The healing power of dreams.
As dreamers we explore and live in the true nature of time, as it has always been known to dream-travelers and which now modern science also confirm: that linear time, the time we measure with our clocks and that is experienced as a series of occurrences where one follows the other and always moving in the same direction, is an illusion created by our limited human consciousness.

In the white man society like ours where we seldom get taught that it’s natural to stay in touch with the deceased or that healing or forgiveness is possible even across the border that death seems to be, and where very few of us get the preparation needed for the journey beyond death, our dreams are important guides.
Dreams can assist in healing our relations both with the dead and with the living. Innumerable dreamers experience each night that contact with the dead is very natural in the dream. Dreams can be a source of well needed understanding and important closures, and besides that we can receive advice and guidance.
In our dreams we can make peace with our relatives that have passed away.

Practice:

In our dreams we can heal instantly. Dream-healing is always valuable, and all we have to do is ask for it. Ancient people traveled along the Mediterranean shores to the dream-healing-temples that were connected to Asklepios and his father, Apollo, not just to get a diagnosis in the dream but with the hope of getting instant and complete healing during the night.
Such experiences can spontaneously occur during our dreams, and when it happens it is a true blessing. We can invite the presence of sacred healing just by saying: ‘I ask for healing’, before we go to bed.
And if we feel up to it, on this particular Halloween night, we can invite a dead beloved relative to come and visit in our dream.
If so, all we have to do is to invite whoever we wish into our dream before we go to sleep.
It is done!

Moon Blood
People tends to like to associate witches with blood, and different uses of blood, for purification, for sacrifice, for power.
Blood is something we generally don’t talk so much about in our society. When the subject is menstrual blood it’s practically taboo. A Swedish witch said in an interview with a Swedish weekly magazine in the middle of the -90’ies that she had tasted her own menstrual blood, and that shocking statement was the one people remembered her for in over a decade, and probably even longer than that.
If we take on a historic view, it’s quite easy to discern a gigantic power-struggle between men and women during the time when the patriarchy we now as a collective takes for granted was installed.
The patriarchy gained control through the use of massive and violent force.

The similarities among the five major religions, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Judaism, regarding their beliefs about menstruation are striking.
Some of the more consistent themes include isolation, impurity, exclusion from religious services, and restraint from sexual intercourse. A menstruating woman is considered dangerous and harmful, both spiritually and physically.

On the other hand,
there are cultures still in existence with women spiritual leaders that tend to think of menstruation as embodying the divine feminine. Menstrual and birthing blood is important to the shaman’s spiritual energy. Female hormones play an important role in shamanic ability.
The height of a woman’s oracular power comes just before and during menstruation and that PMS may simply be an altered state of consciousness which increases her ability to trance and ecstasy. This receptiveness is caused by the rise in serum estrogen levels. As estrogen levels go up so do the levels of key neuro- transmitters in the brain that leads to greater levels of creative thinking, problem-solving abilities and other cognitive skills during menstruation. It also increases the amount of adrenaline available that can be used for all-night healing sessions and/or other types of magical work.

Women shamans
know and keep track of their cycles.
Young women are considered especially powerful and to have great healing abilities at the time of first menarche. The menstrual cycle is also equated with the flow of time and the moon – the moon becomes the symbol of conception, birth, death and rebirth in these societies.

Conclusion: Menstruation is completely taboo in all five of the world-leading patriarchal religions. It’s obviously a most effective way of disempowering women, separating women from the Earth, the Moon and natural cycles.
If a woman doesn’t know that she has great power during this time, she certainly cannot use it. And on top of that she’s walking around feeling shame. And how does this play into the fact that so many women have trouble at this time of the month – severe PMS, horrid menstrual cramps, difficult periods, heavy bleeding not to mention problems with birthing.
It could well be, that this repressing energy drive the energy inward, resulting in these “dysfunctions”
.

Practice: Honor the Moon!
This exercise is as powerful for men as well as for women.
Make it a habit to know which phase the moon is in. The moon has got four quarters, the first the moon is new and waxing, the second the moon is waxing up to become completely full, the third the moon is waning, and the fourth the moon continues to wane and becomes black. And so a new moon-cycle will begin. High energy becomes middle-low, to low, to middle-high to high energy.
Write a diary how the moon is affecting you as an individual. Are you low in energy when the moon is in its fourth quarter? Then you need to rest. Do you have extra energy when the moon is full?
After a year of following the moon-cycles a change will have occurred deep down within your cellular memory. You will feel calmer and more harmonic. The more you are in sync with the moon, the more you will be in sync with yourself.
It is done!

Power of Ecstasy
The god Thoth from Atlantis/Egypt, later named Hermés, the messenger of the Gods, was the father of alchemy and medicine. It was he who started to use the two snakes intertwined around a sword as a symbol of the healing arts. One of the snakes was a cobra symbolizing that which is above, grandfather heaven and the spirit-world, and the other was a rattlesnake symbolizing that which is below, grandmother earth, the physical world. Complete understanding and acceptance of the male energy and the female energy within every organism results in a melting together of the two to the one, and thus creates the sacred energy that gives birth to all life.

Snake-power is the actual power of creation.
It embodies sexuality, psychic powers, alchemy, reproduction, resurrection and immortality. The drama of resurrection is enacted every time the snake changes its skin. The old has to be cast of in order to make room for the new. The energy of the snake is the energy of wholeness, cosmic awareness, and the ability to willingly try new roads and shapes without resistance. It is the knowledge that everything created has the same value, and that everything one might experience can like poison be eaten, melted, integrated, and transformed into healing energy, if one has got the right attitude.
When the energy of the snake reaches the spiritual plane it becomes wisdom, understanding, wholeness, and the feeling of being safe in the family of the Great Spirit.
As Prodigy say’s it in one of their lyrics: I got the poison, I got the remedy.’

All of us have this magical energy resource within ourselves. In the school of yoga the energy is symbolized by a snake named Kundalini. This snake lies dormant in the human body in the area around the tailbone, and once in a while during a human life it spontaneously raises like a cobra, up along the spine, through each chakra, and out through the top of the head, the dream-eye. When this happens the person is lit up like a torch, and all life feels sacred and complete. It happens for instance when a woman is giving birth.

As a seer and shaman, training one’s body and chakras every day comes naturally. With time and practice combined with patience, one can learn to raise the power of Kundalini solely by will, and by doing so one is able to steer the pure and healing energy that originates from the exercise into the areas of the physical body that need the energy the most.

Bacchic initiation: A Greek musicologist gives his description of a Bacchic initiation as catharsis: "This is the purpose of Bacchic initiation, that the depressive anxiety of people, produced by their state of life, or some misfortune, be cleared away through melodies and dances of the ritual."
For the ancients it was enough to know there were doors to a secret dimension that might open for those who earnestly sought them. Such hopes and needs have not gone away with time.

Jim Morrison knew this.
Morrison was the first rock star to speak of the mythic implications and archetypal powers of rock 'n' roll, about the ritualistic properties of the rock concert. For doing so, the press called Jim a pretentious asshole: "Don't take yourself so seriously, Morrison, it's just rock 'n' roll and you're just a rock singer." Jim knew they were wrong, but he didn't argue. He also knew when the critics insulted him they demeaned his audience. Jim knew that music is magic, performance is worship, and he knew rhythm can set you free. Jim was too aware of the historical relevance of rhythm and music in ritual for those transforming Doors concerts to have been accidental. (The same goes for a rave, when it’s the d.j taking on the part of the high-priest.) Extraordinary elements were loosed that have resided in the ether for hundreds of thousands of years, dormant within us all, requiring only an awakening. Of course, psychedelic drugs as well as alcohol could encourage the unfolding of events.  It was Jim's insatiable thirst for life that killed him, not any love of death.

In our time now, there is an acute lack of spiritual teachers.
Chemical drugs, ranging all the way from happy-pills to ecstasy, legal as well as illegal, wouldn’t have to be used to the extent it is used today in the modern society, if there was a greater access to the knowledge of the spiritual light aspects of humans and about Kundalini. Only when we manage to dissolve our inhibitions and blockages enough to experience ourselves as pure sound and light can we ride the waves of the ecstatic vibrations.

Practise: A sensual massage in beauty and relaxation.
This is a massage that is not supposed to lead to sex.
Firstly massage your partner from head to toe, with focus on breathing deep down in the stomach. Next step is to tickle your partner’s body with a feather. Thirdly caress your partner’s body with a piece of fur, to calm everything down that the feather stirred up. Then it’s time to switch places with your partner and be the one to be massaged, tickled, and caressed.
Before you start this massage you should establish spiritual contact with each other:
A beautiful and seductive environment creates the room. Flowers and beautiful music will help.
To take time together allows quality. The eyes create a mirror-connection with the soul. Breathe together. Kisses and various plays with the mouth take you through the labyrinth. Sensitive touch and foreplay leads you into the matrix. Open sexual freedom will allow the two of you melt together with the crystal-matrix. It is done!

Autumnal Equinox
On the 23 of September, night and day are equally long, and soon the darkness will overcome the light.  The balance of the equinox is honored. Thanks are given to the waning lightness and respects are paid to the encroaching darkness. Crops are harvested and stored. We give ourselves time to stop and breathe deeply, to feel the satisfaction of what has been achieved, to start to relax. As the hot days of summer end, the leaves on the trees begin to burst into color as they begin changing into tones of yellow, orange, and red, signifying that fall is here. It's also harvest time.
The exact date and time of the fall equinox varies from year to year. Each year, the date/time moves progressively later in September until the year before leap-year is reached. This four-year cycle is then repeated. According to the astrologers it’s the day when the sun enters the sign of Libra -- the constellation of the balance or scales.

tenofcupsEquinoxes are ideal to reflect on the meaning of life

People all over the world have been celebrating the autumn equinox since the beginning of times

In ancient Britain
both the solstices and equinoxes were the highly sophisticated preoccupation of the mysterious Megalithic peoples who pre-dated Celt, Roman and Saxon on Europe's Atlantic fringe by thousands of years. Stonehenge and other stone structures were aligned so that the solstices and equinoxes could be determined.
In Ireland there is a cluster of megalithic cairns that are scattered through the hills at Loughcrew, about 55 miles North West of Dublin. Longhcrew Carin T is called a passage tomb. It was designed so that the light from the rising sun on the spring and summer equinoxes penetrates a long corridor and illuminates a backstone, which is decorated with astronomical symbols.
America's Stonehenge is a 4,000 year old megalithic site located on Mystery Hill in Salem NH. Researchers have concluded that the site was erected either by Native Americans or an unknown migrant European population. The site contains five standing stones and one fallen stone in a linear alignment which point to both the sunrise and sunset at the fall and spring equinoxes.

The Christian Church replaced earlier Pagan solstices and equinox celebrations during Medieval times. Replacing the fall equinox is Michaelmas, the feast of the Archangel Michael, on sept.29. By Michaelmas the harvest had to be completed and the new cycle of farming would begin. It was a time for beginning new leases, rendering accounts and paying the annual dues.

Korea has the celebration known as Chusok, in China, Harvest Moon is celebrated. In Japan the spring and autumn equinoxes are observed as the six-day celebration: the Higan-e. Six days was chosen because it is based on the six perfections: giving, observance of the precepts, perseverance, effort, meditation and wisdom. The ritual includes repentance of past sins and prayers for enlightenment in the next life. It also includes remembrance of the dead and visits to the family graves.

Practice: Celebration-party
Invite your friends to an autumn equinox party. Adorn your home with fall colors, maroon, violet, orange, gold, brown, yellow, russet and indigo. Celebrate with joy and gratitude for the abundance of nature. Traditional food and drink for the feast are grapes, wheat, bread, corn, root vegetables, nuts, pomegranates, apples, beans, squash, hearty red wine, ale, cider, sage, dark beer, cloves and cinnamon. An (H)extra tip:
The 'harvest' may also apply to the 'seeds of dreams and wishes' that were planted many months earlier.
Now’s the time to see if and how your dream-seeds have come true.
Create a special altar for the autumn equinox. Associated minerals are yellow topaz and agate, carnelian, sapphire, amethyst, sapphire, and crystal quartz. The animals associated with autumn equinox are dogs, wolves, stags, salmon, goats and raptors, especially eagles and owls, and black birds. From the plant kingdom there’s chrysanthemum and aster, clove, seeds and nuts. Meditate on how your dream-seeds that you previously planted have turned into fruit, and put something on your altar that will symbolize your 'harvest'.... use your imagination.
Ask for protection, security, harmony, balance, prosperity and self-confidence, and give thanks for everything you received up until now. And even if your 'harvest' came up empty, your dreams were not fulfilled, you should still give thanks to all the powers that have been working in your favour.
Remember that all magic work takes time and patience.

It is done!

Herstoria: Snake Woman Initiation

The Sacred Orgasm
When the physical orgasm flows through all the chakras, bridges of energy into the spiritual body are created, and access is created to the wisdom that is stored there. The powerful flow of healing energy also opens up to that which is referred to as ‘the dreaming.’ Besides being one of the most pleasant states to be in, the orgasm is also the best tool for healing, life-giving, and balancing of every aspect of a human being, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically, and naturally, sexually. The orgasm generates a changed perception where the heart is opened and love flows unconditionally. It creates a direct link to the higher self, and a real feeling of being one with all can be experienced.

The old ’in and out’ syndrome’
People who live in the white man society are to a great extent totally fixated with the cock and the pussy. It is clearly showed in most of the porn-movies. The films are mostly filled with endless close-ups of the cock moving in and out of the pussy. As a rule, the films culminate with the man ejaculating, preferably in the woman’s mouth. The female orgasm seems totally uninteresting for the porn producers. Such one-sided and soul-less intercourse leads nowhere, according to shamanism, other than into a blind alley, where one might get stuck, and porn addiction is likely to set in.

When two individuals make love
it is through the orgasm that they can feel a deeper level of merging and unity. They are then in an expanded state of love where there are no boundaries. It is the magic condition where two life-force energies melt together and create a new energy which can be used for healing, to manifest our wishes into physical form, or just for the pure pleasure of it.

This magic is not confided to the orgasmic state created by the merging of two bodies, it is as special, powerful and healing when an individual gives him/herself orgasm through self-pleasuring. The fact is that if you get an orgasm on a regular basis though self-pleasuring, it is a beautiful, loving and extremely healing process which can enhance your sensuality and sexual energy. All in all the orgasm is probably the most spiritual and healing process available for us as physical beings.

Six of Cups

Every human being, man as well as woman, has got a male and a female side. In all our relationships with other people we mirror each other, but the mirroring becomes extra intense with the one we choose as our sex-partner. There are different choices to be made, either we choose a partner of the opposite sex, or one of the same sex as ourselves. Therefore, in the shaman education, the concept of man – woman is not necessarily used in physical form, also in a man – man relation or in a woman – woman – relation we act out our inner man – woman towards our partners inner man – woman. The active power, the sun, finds its balance in the passive power, the moon. Both are as important for the continuous life of everything created on planet earth.

It is very valuable to understand that there are four different levels of orgasm. That is to say, there are four distinct physiological orgasmic states that can be experienced. The level reached varies from orgasm to orgasm and depends upon how intimate the two lovers are. (Or how intimate you are with yourself, if we are talking about self-pleasuring) and to what level in the chakras the energy can reach.
The first two levels are to some extent physically satisfying. In the worst case scenario they collide, and can degenerate to become an energy draining encounter between two unbalanced emotionally needy people.
The fact is that sex used frequently at the first level can be draining the body energy instead of filling it up.

Acts of love
where you reach the second, third and fourth level is revitalizing and gives lots of energy.
You can reach these higher levels through knowing ways to effectively use the energy, and how to synchronize with your partner. To use the heart pleasuring exercise on a regular basis, either by yourself or with a partner, can be of extreme help to open up and increase your physical sensitivity so you can reach higher orgasmic levels.
Balanced grown up people who meet and dance/have sex in harmony, beauty and balance. The woman becomes the goddess who gives birth to the god.

Students of shamanism
cannot expect to reach the higher levels as long as they have any unresolved issue tangling up  in their first and second chakra. In the first two chakras, the red and the orange, anima/animus, where the primitive/biological instinct to breed is situated, is where most people usually have their major blocks.
Examples of symptoms of blocks in the collective subconscious first two chakras are incest, pedophile, sexual violation, degrading, humiliating, non voluntary prostitution, rape.

Practice: Heart pleasuring exercise
Make sure there will be no disturbances. Create a beautiful surrounding with some flowers and nice cushions.
Light a candle. Put on some calm and soothing music. While relaxing, visualize how the music vibrates through you, creating peace, floating into every cell of your body. When you’re completely relaxed, start to caress yourself, erotic, sexually arousing caresses. Think sexy thoughts. When you feel the orgasm approaching, stop what you’re doing, and breathe in the energy now vibrating in your root-chakra, red in color, and breathe the energy up to the heart-chakra, green in color. Mix the red energy with the green heart energy.
Breathe out through the heart. Repeat the scenario, and just before orgasm, stop, and breathe the energy from the root to the heart. And a third time….. And then, the fourth time let the orgasm come. Allow the powerful energy, red and green together, to float up through your throat, up through the third eye, and out through the crown chakra/dream eye/ the fontanel. Put your head back and make sounds to accompany the powerful orgiastic energy now pulsating through your entire body. Open and heal your capacity to feel pleasure within yourself and in your entire life. Make a wish, if you can think of one. Visualize sending out the healing energy now emanating from you  to those you love. Relax!
’Qua-hey-stah-ma-ha: you dance in my heart.’
It is done!

Herstoria: The Most Precious Gift

The Moon Calendar
Ebb and flood, sacred blood, moon-blood
Grace Medicine Eagle speaks:
In the western culture people worship the sun, and everything associated with it, masculine, active, intellectual, everything that produces immediate and visible results is rewarded. Every day is to be lived in exactly the same way regardless of the seasonal shifts in nature. Everybody is supposed to wake up in the early morning and go to bed at night, 24/7, all around the year. Even the small children have to submit to this robot-like existence.
And so, on the other hand, everything associated with the moon, feminine, passive, emotion, reflection, is considered a waste of energy and of valuable time, and not worth to be seriously considered.
No wonder we get panic anxiety attacks if and when we feel a bit low, because society don’t want to acknowledge that there are times when energy is naturally low. There is no time for ebb, for recuperation.

The imbalance in the world
right now can be described as a scale, with the sun in one bowl and the moon in the other. Most people are standing in the sun-bowl, either by free will or by force. That’s the reason we as a collective get burned out. Simultaneously, there is a growing longing in the collective subconscious for balance and peace. And that is why women are starting to gather everywhere to perform ceremonies for the moon. Without conscious knowledge they take their place in the moon-bowl. It’s the most healing thing to do, to gather in the light of the moon to make fires, and honor the female, mother earth and great grandmother moon. In this way we can all actively participate in the recreation of the sacred balance between the female and the male energy in the universe.

The Calendar of the 13 months
In various cultures around the planet time is not measured by the ticking seconds of the clock, but by seasons, rythms and subtile changes in nature that influences and highlights networking in the society. The people who lives on the Andman Islands follow a ‘scent-calendar, a ‘cattle-clock guides the Nuerers in Sudan, and a myriad of sounds and shadows in the forest tell the Karen-clan in north of Thailand when to do what.

Mooncykles   The existence of the reality divided in decimals and boxes collides head on with thousands of various ideologies that conceive time as a sensual perception rather than a notation. Yet the clock and the Gregorian 12-month’s calendar is the global norm. All civilizations are governed by this misconception that time is something that can be measured by the clock.

The Maya, Inka, and Aztek civilizations all used the calendar of the 13 months/28 days. It was also used by the druids, the ancient Egyptians, who called it the calendar of Thoth, known as the Moon God, the ancient God of Time, as well as by numerous other ancient cultures.

The Gregorian calendar is the macro-organization program in the global society, Chinese people use it, even Islamic businessmen and Dalai Lama uses it. The assessment would be that time as it is measured by the clock is a conscious tool for control that weakens intuition, fosters war and will destroy life on this planet if we don’t change it, and soon……..

The 13months natural time calendar introduces a simple yet deeply spiritual opportunity to change our everyday reality consciousness. People all over the world belonging to diverse belief systems and cultures are brought together by the 13 month calendar as a global harmonic standard: 13 month with 28 days each, plus one ‘Day outside of Time’ that is used to honor and celebrate ‘Peace through Culture’ before the next year begins.

Collectively we’d free ourselves from the ‘Time is money-mentality’ and establish a new Peace Culture founded on the principle: ‘Time is Art.’

The sacred moon-cycle

For a woman it’s very important to get to know one’s own moon-cycle, or menstruation cycle.
The first thing you’re going to do when you start your monthly bleeding is to sit down with a paper and a pen. Draw a circle and create 28 parts, as it was a cake and you cut it in 28 pieces. Date every piece, start with the current date and move forward 27 days. Draw little waves on the days you’re menstruating. Calculate how many days that’ll be. 3 – 5 days is the average.
Then you count from the last day of blood, 11, 12 or 13 days forward, around there it’s time for the ovulation. Every woman has her own individual cycle. You must find out for yourself which of these days that ovulation happens for you. The symptoms are that you might feel a bit feverish, maybe your stomach begins to hurt as bad as when your menstruating but only for a couple of hours, maybe you’ll start to dress sexy and wonder why you suddenly feel the urge to have sex, just pure raw intercourse. (That is your body’s biological urge to reproduce, nothing more, nothing less.) Draw little eggs on that day.
Then you draw the outer moon, full-moon, new-moon, onto your chart. It reveals where you are at as an individual inner moon in relationship to the outer moon.
Next you are going to predict your next menstruation time. Start to count 25 – 28 days forward from your first day of blood, and make a mark there. Now you know at least preliminary when you’re due for your next menstruation.
By doing this you learn to predict yourself and your energy-cycle, when your energy is high, at ovulation, and when it’s bound to be low, the days preceding the bleeding, the so called PMS-period.

Men got a moon-cycle to.

A man can learn to be awake and alert to the outer moon cycle.
If you’re a man you can draw the same 28 days circle as described above and mark when you feel high energy – low energy, when you remember a dream, are extra sensitive, feel nostalgic, feel sexy, and so on.
If you live with a woman, in most cases, you’ll follow her inner moon-cycle. (Just as women who live together or work close together often tends to synchronize their moon-cycles with each other.)

Little by little, month by month, by doing this exercise one creates an inner as well as an outer balance. And one also learns how to predict the future.

It is done!

Vision Quest
A common question people ask the seer/ess is if they are on the right path. The answer is always the same: all paths are the right ones, even those we define as wrong. Since one of the cornerstones in the whole seer-business is that we humans incarnate on planet earth in life after life to learn all about ourselves and thus also all about others, one has to believe that all human experiences are the right ones, including the negative ones. In such a belief system there simply don’t exist any mistakes, because it’s our mistakes that develop us the most. The difficult challenges we encounter on our way through life and how we choose to handle them defines our character. Therefore each human is continuously on the right path, no matter what hardships one is going through at the moment.
My shaman teacher says that one should not waste energy on asking oneself why things are the way they are, one should ask oneself how one is going to deal with it, as being a defender of the earth.

The seer/ess is a fatalist in the sense that one constantly put ones trust in the wisdom emanating from ones higher self, ones inner god/ess-power, or creator-power, the star-self, the great subconscious. Trust in the sense that some part of oneself knows what one is doing and why, and that it is for the good in the long run, even if ones lower self, ones conscious part, is totally lost in what’s going on. Trust that there is a greater plan with life, refinement, alchemy, and ultimately, love. As a seer/ess and as a shaman one constantly seeks contact with the divine source within, the inner hard disk that contains all information from all times, past, present as well as the future.
The Source – Sorceress.

Extracts from SunBears book The Medicine Wheel:
The foundation of the religion and the life of the Native people in the United States, as well as in most countries if you follow history back far enough, personal vision is personal communication between the individual and the Creator Spirit, by whatever name this force was called.

Vision can come to individuals in a number of ways. They can go out upon the mountains or into the valleys and cry for their vision. Sometimes it will take many such quests before vision comes, if it ever does.
Some visions are whole and complete and give the person receiving it total understanding of the universe and his or her place in it. Other visions come in parts, none of which is complete in itself. Eventually, with patience, enough parts come to make the vision complete.

Visions can also come to people complete in their dreams, and these can be the kind of visions that give total understanding. For others, vision might come during an illness, through an experience of dying and returning to life or even in the course of their everyday lives.

We are all born with the capacity to dream and to have vision. This is what makes us human, the animals who can have vision and seek to fulfill it on the earth plane. This is what makes us reflections of the force that created us all.

Practice: Vision Quest Ceremony
The top of a hill where the sky meets the earth is traditionally the place to go to receive vision.
Either you can go to such a place physically, or you can arrange a quiet corner of your home where you can do a visualization of yourself going to a hilltop.  Once you’re up there, call out your wish for receiving a vision of how you’re going to go on with your life in the best possible way, aligned to the will of your higher destiny on spaceship earth. Turn to each of the four directions and repeat your wish. Call for the eagle to come and show you which path you should choose from here.
Then sit or lay down. Relax your entire body, and empty your head of thoughts. Feel the breeze from the wind, the scent from the flowers surrounding you. Imagine you’re a cloud drifting on the sky.
Stay in this relaxed state for as long as you want. Meanwhile, when you’re ready, imagine a great eagle soaring above you, circling in the sky. And so, he/she lands next to you and transforms into a medicine-person. This ancient one communicates with you, maybe through symbols, or maybe in a very concrete way. When you get the feeling you’re done, give thanks, imagine the eagle flying away, and return to your normal state of being.
Write whatever happened to you down in your magic notebook! Eat something! Be patient!
It is done!

Clans and Totems
This far we’ve been discussing shamanism on an individual level, now we’re going to examine the three other fundamental worlds we humans share this earth with, all our relations. The three worlds are the worlds of the minerals, the plants and the animals. Most indigenous people believe that all humans have personal totem and clan belongings with each of these three worlds.

Totem animals

According to tradition every human being has got 9 different totem animals. The animals  represents our inner abilities but also our challenges and fears. Each animal possesses specific strengths and abilities.
It’s interesting but not surprising that shamans of different cultures and parts of the world but who shared similar arts of animals, came up with similar interpretations of these animals. The shamans connected to the ’manitou’ of the animal, the original spirit-energy of the animal, via dreams and visions, -pumaness, bearness, or deerness, etc. These ‘manitou’s’ could help the shaman in various ways, and taught her/him special lessons.

Through observing how each animal lived, fed, found partners and protected him/herself, the shaman could learn from its specific strengths and weaknesses. Bears for example, hibernate during winter and therefore they own the magic of dreaming. They were also powerful opponents for them who wished to hunt them, so the magic of the Bear was also physical strength and power. Mice on the other hand represents scrutiny, the way they thoroughly examine  the little things.
In shaman cultures it’s very common to seek help and healing from the animals. The mythological animals, such as the unicorn, the dragon, a.s.f. are also included.

As mentioned already,
each human also got mineral, tree, and plant –totem. If you want to know more about that there is an excellent book called the Medicinewheel Earth Astrology, written by Sun Bear, printed by Prentice Hall Press. And the Celts have a magic tree-alphabet called the Ogham. A recommendable book on that subject would be the Celtic Tree Oracle, written by Liz and Colin Murray.

So, therefore it’s essential for the witch/shaman- apprentice to collect allies from these three worlds. Alone is not strong. The more friends you have the better! (Like Face-book! ) It’s as important to find out your different clan-belongings, element-clan, mineral-clan, plant-clan and tree-clan. And probably some other clans that I don’t remember right now….

(For me personally it’s easy to find out which tree-clan I belong to, it has to be birch, because my family name is Birch, and my flower must be the rose, since my first name is Rose.)

The point is that through collecting strength, support and inspiration from one’s different allies one becomes stronger, gets more energy, more self-esteem, and one will feel more loved. The list of benefits can go on for ever.......

Practice:
Find your power animal
Sit or lie down, relax, and visualize yourself sitting on the edge of a big forest.
Breathe deeply and calmly. Wait patiently in a very relaxed state, sooner or later an animal will contact you.
The first animal that comes out from the forest is your totem animal, or, power animal. Honor it and respect it like a family member.
The easiest way of detecting your totem animal is to remember your favorite animal when you were a child. The child knows the connection instinctively.

Summer Solstice
Let us compare the four quarters of the year with the four quarters of the moon, and the woman’s menstrual cycle. Then we can come to the conclusion that the summer solstice occurs on the same spot as the woman is ovulating, when she is the most fertile. That would mean that if the yearly cycle would be the menstrual cycle of Mother Earth, she would be the most fertile on the summer solstice. And so she is, of course.

The midsummer celebration in Sweden is what most people know nowadays, a pagan tradition. The May Pole symbolizes the sacred sexual embrace between the man, symbolized by the pole, and the woman, symbolized by the chaplet. The very act of rising the pole and the attachment of the chaplet makes words unnecessary.

TheAct

During the pre-Christian and Islamic times, sexual intercourse was considered sacred, and was ceremoniously enacted every summer solstice by a priest and a priestess. In the 1300-century the marriage as an institution was endowed by the Vatican and all sexual activity outside of the marriage bed sanctioned by the church was forbidden and as such bestowed with capital punishment. And to perform the ancient sacred ceremony was also bestowed with capital punishment.
The first commandment: ‘You shall have no other gods, (or goddesses for that matter,) before me!’ stroke hard and deadly. Even to this day, women are being stoned to death for infidelity.

In pre-historic days there didn’t even exist a word for infidelity in the vocabulary of the humans. Not the word bastard either. There were no children born in sin. All the children were the children of the god and goddess.

Imagine if we said a prayer like this in our churches:
Blessed Be, In the Name of the Mother, the Father and all their Holy Children. Blessed be all humans, animals, plants and minerals. And everything else as well.’

It’s not a coincidence that our Swedish Crown-princess is getting married on the 19’th of June. The pagan ceremony to celebrate the holy marriage between the goddess Freya and the god Frey has been enacted since ancient times.
Such a magic date to get married!

Practice
The inner marriage
Make yourself comfortable, sit or lie down. Breathe deeply and calmly. Relax your entire body. Visualize yourself as the goddess Freya if you’re a woman, or the god Frey if you are a man. Imagine yourself dressed in velvet and silk, covered with jewels of various kinds, emeralds, diamonds, rubies, a.s.f. See yourself shining and outstandingly beautiful basking in the love of your heart. Let it shimmer!
Invite your opposite side, your inner goddess/god-partner, also glistering, shining.
Now you promise yourself to stay true and to be loyal to yourself for better and for worse. From now on you will be your own best friend, to support and comfort, now and for ever. Let your inner god and goddess embrace, melt together to become one in your heart. Stay in this beautiful feeling for as long as you like.

It is done!

Dark energy – Light energy
The balance between light and dark have always existed on this planet. Grandmother Earth is the planet of duality and paradox, and so it will remain. Many humans believe that the war between evil and good will lead to elimination of the one or the other.
This is a misunderstanding. The action necessary is to attain balance between light and dark. Without evil there can be no good, and vice versa. Energy once created cannot be destroyed, but it can be transformed, transmuted or transcended.

Like attract like
Our collective conscious fear, anger, doubt, guilt, and so forth, creates a river of evil, a river flowing through reality like black mud. Magicians of the dark arts get their power using this river as their source.
On the other hand, all positive thoughts, knowledge that works, pleasure, and the Sun, creates a river of light energy from which the warriors of the light get their power.

Two of Wands

From The wind is my mother by Bear-Heart:
The power of the Psyche
We still have a lot to learn about the psyche. Not the brain – the psyche.
The thoughts a person is harboring affects the body and therefore it’s very important how you think and what you think.
Suppose you have become the enemy of someone you consider being rude in all kinds of ways. This person is unable to perceive anything good about anybody or anything. And so eventually you were targeted and you got personally insulted.

You find it difficult to forgive this person and the mere thought of him make all your unresolved anger rise to the surface. Now imagine another person who did something nice to you, not to get anything back, just to make you feel good. That deed showed respect and you love that person sincerely.

Here is my example:

You feel anger when you think about the bad person and then you switch completely and feel love when you think about someone else. You didn’t change your emotions, you changed your thinking and your emotions followed.
So thoughts affect our feelings as well as our bodies.

Therefore it’s best to be aware of what one puts into one’s conscious consciousness because everything is made of energy, vibrations.

A good night’s sleep
If  you’ve  had a very hectic day your body is tired when you go to bed, and maybe you can fall asleep right away, but your mind speeds up. When you study rapid eye movement you’ll know that a whole lot of activity is going on in your eyes. Why do you wake up tired some mornings while on other mornings you feel completely rested, even though you’d been sleeping the same amount of hours? You wake up tired because your mind was engaged in different dramas all night long, various dreams coming and going trying to tell you something. In the morning you have to force yourself to get up and you drag yourself along all day.
How then are you going to handle these inner issues?

Practice:

When you’re in bed, let your body relax. It doesn’t matter if you start from the top of your head and work downwards through the whole body down to your feet or if you start with your feet and work yourself up to the top of your head. Let every muscle in your body relax and while you’re doing the mental procedure of going through the entire body to relax it, breathe continuously long deep breathes. Breathe in healing, soothing thoughts, like a cool southern wind blowing in to caress you into a deep restful sleep. When you breathe out visualize you’re breathing out all tension and all stress your workload that day has caused you. Release all tension into the atmosphere and let all unresolved issues wait. They will still be there tomorrow, and you can deal with them then.
But for the moment you simply let them wait, and instead you put your mind on taking care of you body; let it have its rest.
By doing this mental exercise you don’t just let the body relax but also your thoughts and emotions are going to relax.
Now you concentrate on being grateful for the day that’s been and ask for a nice peaceful rest. Feed calming thoughts into your conscious consciousness, and when you slip away into dreamland you’re going to sink down into a deep sleep and the next morning you will feel full of energy. Maybe you even might be able to see your problems from a different and healing angle. What you couldn’t see an end to will now be like a tiny light in the end of a tunnel and you can go on from there. You can actually handle and solve every problem you might have yourself.

We use very little of the power of our psyche, a very tiny part. Not because the psyche is tiny but because we don’t trust it or use it enough. The human psyche has the power to do anything. It’s much more powerful than any modern miracle-drug that has been developed for whatever reason.

Controlled Folly
Extract from Carlos Castanedas book the gift of the Eagle:

Controlled folly is the art of controlled deception or the art to pretending to be thoroughly immersed in the action at hand - pretending so well no one could tell it from the real thing. Controlled folly is not an outright deception, but a sophisticated, artistic way of being separated from everything while remaining an integral part of everything. Controlled folly is an art which takes a lot of energy to exercise. By the time we come to sorcery, our personality is already formed, and all we can do is practice controlled folly, and laugh at ourselves.

Be impeccable and you will have the energy to reach to the place of silent knowledge.

Aleister Crowley expressed the same thing as ‘a Method to the Madness’ already in the twenties.

So shamanism could be a method to keep ourselves sane within the madness going on all around in the world at the present time. ’It takes a fool to remain sane’.

Altare

The key we have here is that at the same time as one is totally involved in one’s personal drama, one can also create a liberating distance to the ongoing soap opera.  We also get to understand that it takes tremendous amounts of energy to create such a healing distance. (And this is probably the reason why the shaman education to such a high extent focus on the teachings about how to stop leaking energy emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. If one is to be able to gather the necessary energy one must know how to do that.)

Or, another way to express the same thing, as an actor once told me when I was very young:
-‘Acting is the art to be completely one with oneself but at the same time to experience oneself from a distance.‘
He was talking about Method Acting, an acting school called Actor's Studio founded by Stanislavsky in the fifties. James Dean, Marlon Brando, Robert de Niro and Jack Nicholson, to name a few out of thousands of film and theater actors who have been students of the Method.

The Method acting is about how to get to know one’s own psyche and one’s own emotions, positive as well as negative, and it’s from this knowing the actor picks the appropriate emotion when the director says action

The Shaman school is a method to get to know the drama of one’s personal life, the positive and the negative, how to become one’s own healer, and how to have fun with it! The Great Spirit has a great sense of humor, and so should we!

Shamanism is Show-manism’, quote Batty Thunder Bear.

Ultimately only one self can heal oneself.
Others can assist the healing process to a certain extent, but the person being healed must sooner or later participate in the healing wholeheartedly.

With many generations collected knowledge of the human psyche the shaman can heal imbalance in body, spirit, psyche and emotion.  At one point or another in the circle of life every one of us must step into our inner shaman /actor   and take our power to become whole. Eventually, all of us will return to the grace of the great mother.

Praktice:
Selflove
Here we’re going to use the law of minimal effort for maximal result.
If you feel like you want to get some beneficial distance to whatever it might be:
Light a candle, and remind yourself that whatever is going on in your life right now, within and without, is only a small part of a vast infinity. Give a moment of love and light to the tiny being that is you.
It is done!

Bipolarity
Quote Jimi Hendrix: When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace ’.
The Hopi Native Americans say that we as a collective human family now  is in the fourth world, which they call the world of separation. In this time we have a collective need to find out all we can about the nature of duality, to  separate everything into contradictions: black - white, north pole – south pole, heaven – hell, warm – cold, day – night, macho – feminist, angels – demons, love – hate.

Grandmage   According to the shaman teachings, all human beings are bipolar. Remember the concept that each individual, man and woman alike, are micro cosmos in macro cosmos.

In his book Funky Business the author  Kjell A. Nordström states that in the future people will visit the psychologist not to be cured from schizophrenia but to get to know more about their different personalities.

You, as an individual, choose your direction, your actions, yet you are inseparable from the everything. The cosmic will works through you; yet you need to take full responsibility for each thought and action. You are guided, with a mission and a purpose, and still you function with a totally free will, like an independent agent. You are constantly channeling the universal life force filtered through your thought-patterns and your personal use of symbols and your capability of imagination.

Everything in the universe consists of vibrations, and vibrations can be changed dependent upon your mental attitude.  Meditation, concentration, reflection, relaxation, all such activity affects your vibration.

To begin with
we need to start to learn how to live in peace with our natural bipolarity.
We can actively contribute to make peace between our inner south - north - pole.
Inner peace negotiations are greatly called for, to say the least.
To win over ones enemy one need to learn all about the enemy. It’s classic war strategy. To survey ones inner darkness is not the easiest task, but very well worth the effort in the long run.

Practice: ’Name your fears’
Next time you get a strong feeling of  negative character,  like disgust, contempt, envy, take a couple of minutes to really get  in touch with the feeling. Say to yourself: ‘what a strong feeling I’m feeling right now. I must be a very strong person to own such a strong feeling. The truth is, I own this feeling.  The feeling doesn’t own me.’ Give the feeling a name and identity.
If you do this exercise regularly, slowly, slowly, day by day, you’ll get to know yourself in all your aspects.
It is done!

Inner Silence
From Carlos Castaneda, ’Tales of power’:

According to the sorcerers, the spiritual warrior chooses a subject for dreaming through holding an image in the mind while shutting down the internal dialogue.
If you can resist talking to yourself for just a moment, and hold the image or thought you wish to manifest into dreaming, if so only for a second, this subject you wished for will most certainly manifest in your dreaming.‘

Continuing chronicle 4:
Every life-forms sacred self-concept consists of each individual’s likes and dislikes, opinions, feelings,
thoughts and experiences. Unfortunately for us we also include rumors, hearsay, fears, other people’s opinions, and prejudice in our concept of self.

That is one of the reasons why humans have such difficulties defining their personal truth. Our concept of self is often buried under the opinions we have adopted from others on every occasion we didn’t take the time to look deep inside ourselves for our personal truth.

These adopted lies create the mental chatter that separates us from respecting our own personal space and self-concept. It’s often hard for modern life humans to quite down the inner dialogue and move into the inner silence, or stillness that exists within each human’s personal sacred circle. The inner silence is situated between the inhale and the exhale.

Practice: Breathing-exercise

The breathing in, holding the breath for a couple of moments, and then slowly breathing out, creates the opportunity to calm one-self down, to stop the activities in the outer reality, and enables us to enter the inner stillness. Try it! And meanwhile you do this breathing, listen to the gentle, still, loving voice of your heart. Continue this breathing for as long as you like. It also works miracles if you have a hard time falling asleep at night.
It is done!

Maundy Thursday
In swedish folklore it is told that the witches every Maundy Thursday flew to Blue-hill to copulate with the Devil.
This story is an example of the indoctrination going on during the Middle Ages when people were being converted from Paganism to Christianity. The men of the church activated the inquisition and had everybody that didn’t convert brutally die. The new belief-system, symbolized by the cross, was induced by threats of hell and torture for eternity.
‘If you’re not with us, you’re against us – syndrome.’

Blokullamone

The priestesses and healers of the old religion became terribly dangerous witches.
The old ritual’s to celebrate the moon- goddess was imposed with capital punishment.
The pre-Christian earth-father god, the horned one, was transformed into the Christian devil.

Sexual activity became forbidden except the sex going on in a marriage sanctioned by Jahve with the intent to make babies. A good Christian woman wasn’t supposed to enjoy sex, only endure it.

Most people nowadays know all of this already. Especially those who have read the DaVinci Code have a thorough knowledge on the subject of the lost sacred feminine, the holy Grail.

The copper prints from the 15'th and 16'th- century portraying witches meeting with the devil are the origins of pornography. Pornography is a consequence of the rigid sexual rules that to this day is administrated by the Vatican.

In the old religion, sex was holy, spiritual and healing.
All life was born from the meeting of the female and the male, the holy marriage that was celebrated each midsummer.

Nowadays we have the freedom to choose religion, at least in Sweden, (if you’re not born to become queen of Sweden, that is. Victoria cannot become queen if she changes her Christian religion.) It is no longer a crime punished with death or mental-asylym to be a witch.
We'll celebrate this freedom when all witches and magic people I know come to a big party in my beautiful tower with the magic address Blue-hill on Maundy Thursday. We’ll make a fire, dance, drum, sing, and remember that we’re all holy, magic beings who are incarnated on planet Earth with the sole intent to experience beauty in all its forms. Life itself is to be celebrated, honored. Aoum.

Practise: Make a little people broom-stick!
Keep it close to your bed at night. Before you go to sleep, command yourself in a loud voice to experience flying on the broom in your dream. Keep paper and pen nearby, so that you upon awakening immediately can write down whatever memories you have from your dream.
It is done!

Avatar and the fibers in their braids
Define your personal sacred circle:
Visualize an area around you as big as you can reach with your arms, at the sides, up and down, with your body in the middle. That’s your own personal sacred space. The circle stretches beyond your body up in the sky and below your body down into the earth. Together they create the unity between the physical and the spiritual.
The personal sacred space includes all thoughts and emotions, the body, the spirit, dreams and visions.

Ormqvinna

The combination of feelings, thoughts, sensations and premonition creates our individual self-concept, which is constantly fed through a spiritual umbilical cord. Every person has thousands of spiritual fibers stretching out into the world from the navel.
It’s from the navel the humans feel everything through pattern, rhythm or vibration.

Compare with the movie Avatar, where they have their fibers coming out from their braids.

The relaxed umbilical cord can be attached to the healing energy of mother earth.
When a person is open to receive life, the fibers are spread out like sunrays. But when a person is tired, wounded, or sick, the fibers tangle up and become a thick knot.

If the person isn’t aware how this spiritual umbilical cord works, it can tighten up real bad, stop the flow of life into the body and create stomach cramps or nausea.
If and when that happens one can lay down flat on the stomach and collapse ones fibers into mother earth.

It’s then possible to breath in new energy from the earth.

Practice: Be aware of the fibers coming out through your navel.
Feel your surroundings through them. Try out different ways to attach your fibers to trees, rocks, earth, and sky. Breathe as much healing energy through your spiritual umbilical cord as you possibly can.
Exercise them daily.
It is done!

Herstoria: British Psychic Challenge

The sacred energy body
As humans we have a physical body as well as an energy-body. Together they help us experience our reality and to interact with other beings on the earth plane. Both bodies are manifestations of energy, but they manifest differently, because they vibrate differently. When we are out in nature it’s easy to feel different vibrations. The minerals vibrate very, very slowly. A tree vibrates slightly faster than a stone.

If we really had the gift of seeing we would know that a human is so much more than the physical body that we now as a collective recognize and acknowledge. We would see a veritable lightshow of colors, fibres and energy-spheres that are all within the illumined egg-cocoon shape surrounding the physical body.
From the illumined egg-cocoon we would see fine-threaded fibers of light spreading out into the world, interacting with all other physical forms that exists around that particular human. Flames of light and color shoot out when the human are excited or joyful. Shadows appear if the human are sick, injured or depressed.
The color and shape of our light-field/aura reflects our maturity-level and the shifts in our temperament.

Helig Energi   The human body is absolutely beautiful with the most intricate design, and vibrates with color, light and movement, which all together creates a human symphony!

The indigenous people
in the west as well as many of the ancient Asian cultures understood how important and how intricate the human energy-body is, and therefore they spent a lot of time to study its components and functions. Their knowledge where transmitted down through the generations to come.
Because of this awareness and training from a very young age, most indigenous people in the ancient cultures around the world could both see and feel parts of the energy-body.

In our modern days these talents are narrowed down to so called mediums/psychics. The ability to perceive energy-bodies is not limited to talented seers only. Every human being has the potential to see energy-bodies.

When we are in the world of spirit, we make the choice to be born into physical form. We make this choice because we want to experience, learn, change and create beauty in the physical form.

Every cell in our body is ultimately vibrant with one aspiration: to once again experience formlessness, to return to pure spirit form.We come into physical form with one single intention: to become masters of the physical form.
It is through physical mastership that formlessness is attained.

Practice: Aura cleaning, spiritual hygiene.
It is as important to keep the energy body clean as it is to brush ones teeth. Besides, there is not one medicine-person, shaman or witch worth his/her name, that does not start their healing sessions by cleaning the patients aura, usually with incense and a bird-feather, but there are other methods as well.
When you start to clean your energy-body on a regular basis, you’re going to notice that you will have more energy and wisdom as time passes by.

A couple of methods to clean the aura/energy-body/illumined egg cocoon:
-Sit inside a circle of trees and breathe in the power of the green into your aura.
-Let the winds blow your aura clean of all negative/destructive energy.
-Swim in the ocean or in a lake and rinse your aura in the womb of the great mother.
-Chant the sacred sound AOUM, let the powerful cleaning sound circulate in your aura.
-The easiest of all is to just close your eyes and visualize any of the above.
Everything is possible in the world of imagination, in magic nation, and everything can be transferred from fantasy to transform destructive energy in the physical world we call reality. That’s where the real magic is happening!
It is done!

Herstoria: My first encounter with a ghost

The FloweringTree
When we experience the flowering tree we see a flash of lightning within our darkness. Then we see the thunder within the light. The one talks quietly to us, and the other sings of our learning. Together they become the song of the Coyote, learning’s gentle trickster. As the coyote sings, his song is echoed by many other coyotes. These songs are the songs of the many reflections that exists within each and every-one of us.

Blommande   The human being is identified with the tree of life in every religion in the world today. The Jewish tradition,  the Nordic tree of life, Yggdrasil, with its nine worlds. The druidic traditional tree is the link between the dimensions leading to immortality.

Humans are compared to trees. As a matter of fact, we are trees, we are like them rooted in the ground, though our roots are movable, but that doesn’t free us from the ground.

A tree gets it’s nourishing from the deep earth, while movable humans get the nourishing from its surface. There is no conflict in a tree, while the humans on the other hand are full of conflict. When you hug a tree you’ll feel the life-force of that tree. A tree binds the sacred energy from Grandmother Earth with the energy from Grandfather Sky. It’s the same life-force energy that flows through all life.
When you hug someone and feel the flow of good energy, it’s the same good energy that exists in the trees and in all other living beings. It’s just that nowadays we’ve been taught to experience this energy stronger between two people.

The melting together of the male and female energy is the source of all life. The same source can give you the power to heal someone.

Practice: Flowering Tree Ceremony
Go out in nature and find a tree you like. Talk to the tree and ask if it wants to spend some time with you.
If the tree says yes, you’ll get a warm feeling from it, if it says no it’s through sending out chills.
When you find a nice tree that says yes, hug the tree and feel its heart and pulse. Relax and empty your head of thoughts.

Sit down in the south, the direction of the child, with your back to the tree. Breathe with the tree.
Visualize that you and the tree becomes one, feel your roots.
Open your mind to receive images from the past, from your childhood. Write in your note-book whatever memories comes  into your conscious mind.

When you’re done with that, after let’s say ten – fifteen minutes, it’s never good to overdo, and you need to have energy enough to go through the full ceremony, move to the north. Sit down with your back against the tree.
North is the direction of the grown up. Let images from your life right now come into your mind. Is there anything in particular that is hindering you from being or doing that which you know you would like to be or do? Write whatever comes into your mind in your notebook.

Then move to the west. Sit down with your back to the tree.
Now you’re going to use your sittings in south and north. Ponder what attitudes or believes you’re ready to let go off right now, anything that hinders you from fully expressing yourself. Dig a little hole in the ground in front of you. Incorporate all your negative feelings of guilt, stress, etc. into your saliva. Then spit it all out in the hole in the ground. Cover the hole with earth.

Move to the east, and sit down with your back to the tree. East is the direction of spirituality and life-force/passion. Open up your mind to receive images from the future. Write down whatever ideas you get. If you know what it is you would like to happen, focus on it, and speak your wishes for the future out loud. Plan for miracles! End the ceremony by giving thanks to the four directions, to the tree, and to everything else you in this moment can think of giving thanks to, including yourself for being brave and crazy enough to connect to a tree-person. Give your gift to the tree.
It is done!

Herstoria: The Magic Broom

The MedicineWheel

The circle of the medicine-wheel is the Universe. It's change, life, death, birth and learning.
This great circle contains our bodies, our minds, and our hearts. It contains everything in existence.
The circle is our way to touch and to experience harmony with everything else around us.
And for those who seek understanding, the circle is their mirror.

Indigenous people all around the world have the sacred medicine-wheel, the wheel of the year, the wheel of life, or the wheel of the eight directions, in common. This as it seems simple module of knowledge is really a rich, complex, subtle, deeply philosophical language of symbols. Trained apprentices learn to see the medicine-wheel as a map that’ll lead them to their innermost being.

The word Taro has its origin in the latin word Rota that means wheel

The four cardinal directions on the wheel represent both inner and outer qualities:

South is represented by the magical inner child in trust and innocence, the element water, emotions, and the plant-kingdom.

In the west lives the sacred dreams, death and rebirth, the element earth, the physical body,
the grown man/woman, the mineral-kingdom.

In the north resides wisdom and strength, the psyche, the element of air, the old, wise wo/man, and the animal kingdom.

The east is represented by enlightenment, passion, curiosity, lust, the element of fire, the ancestors that are now in the realms of spirit, and the human kingdom. The key to use the medicine-wheel is movement.

To actually physically build a circle of stones around you  is primarily to heal in a deeply subconscious manner. Through placing oneself in the ancient stone-circle that has always been and that will always be, you connect to a whole lot of ancestors who once had great wisdom.’

A good time to build the wheel is early in the morning. The first rays of the sun gives a unique and healing energy.
Either make the wheel on your own, or with others. It’s an excellent way to share this very special kind of energy with friends.
The place you choose should be a bit concluded, so you can be in a state of peacefulness, it should make you feel good about yourself, strong, powerful, and open to receive and meet with all your relations. The created medicinewheel can be kept and used again and again. It can be a place for you to go and refresh your energy and build up your strength.

Practice
: Make your own stone-circle
Items needed: compass, pick-nick, magical journal, pen, tobacco.
- Go to a peaceful spot somewhere in nature where you can work without interruption. Find four stones as big as ostrich eggs somewhere in the surroundings. Sit down for a while together with the four stones. Say hello to them, touch them. Try to feel their different personalities. Talk to them. Tell them you’re going to build a sacred room around you, and that you’ll need their help.
Now use the compass to find out where the four directions.
( If you don’t have a compass the suns position on the sky can orient you, the west is where the sun is setting.)

Start off with the stone that’s going to be positioned in the south direction. Pick it up and walk with it a couple of steps to the south. Stop, hold the stone up to the sky, and say out loud: -‘ Ancient powers from the south who loves me, come into this circle, and all of you who don’t love me , stay out of this circle at this time.’
And then you turn to the stone and say: -‘ Sacred stone, you know what to do.’ Put the stone down in the south position.
Stone number two is the west stone, walk to the west and do the speak, but say west instead of south, of course. Then you take the north stone, walk to the north, speak, put the stone in the north. End with the east direction.
Now you have a circle of stones around you.

Clean the wheel from any negative energies that somehow may still be lingering. Say in an affirmative voice: -‘I banish all negative energy from my circle.’ Visualize your arm transforming into a great wing, and use it to sweep out the negative energy from inside your circle.

Seal the wheel by drawing a circle of fire around the four corner-stones with your fire-finger, which is the index finger. Make a declaration_ -‘ All negative energies are now gone from my circle. In the power of my inner will I now proclaim this circle to be a sacred room!'

Sit down within your with your own hands built stone-circle. Unpack your picknick, and your magical diary, so you can write down and remember that which will happen to you now inside this ancient room.
Breath deeply and move your energy from your head down into your stomach. Relax. Feel your roots grow deep down into the earth beneath your. Give yourself and your physical body time to relax within the circle of stones.

Submit yourself to the calm energy stemming from the great mother earth, smell the wind, listen to your heart beat. Hear the birds singing, the humming from the grass, the blood pulsing in your body.
Let all your senses come alive. Allow yourself to be a  part of the ancient pulse of life.
Meditate. If you get a dream, a vision, receive it with an open mind.
Stay in the ancient room as long as you like. Write in your magical journal.

When you’re done, give thanks to the four stones. Give thanks to the powers in the four directions that loves you and that participated in your ceremony. Give thanks to the powers that don’t love you for keeping out of your ceremony.

And finally, give thanks to yourself for your willingness to once again step into the connection of the every-thing, and that you let yourself experience your own place in the circle of life.

If you intend to come back, leave the stones in their positions, but if you don’t intend to come back, put the stones back in the places you found them.
Leave a gift before you go. It can be a poem you just wrote, a cookie, a flower, or tobacco.

It is done!
